This document provides information about Mrs. Adkins' kindergarten classroom schedule, policies, and resources. 3. Behavior/Snack Calendar
• Your child will receive folder with a behavior/snack calendar in it. Please check this
calendar daily to check your child’s behavior and/or snack day.
• Green (G) Excellent Day ( Follows directions, stays on tasks, etc…).
• Yellow (Y) Okay day (had to be spoken to once or twice).
• Red (R) Had a rough day (constant talking, playing, or hitting).
• Your child will receive either a G, Y, or R on their behavior calendar everyday. Please
initial that day on the calendar and return the folder the next day.
• Your child’s name will be typed onto the calendar to show their snack day. If your
child has a birthday in that month, that’s when their snack day is going to be.
*Snacks must be store bought & pre-packaged. No store bought or homemade
cupcakes will be allowed for birthdays. However, you can purchase cupcakes from
the cafeteria. Please see the cafeteria manager for that.

4. Fun Activities
• We have a lot of fun activities that entails
parent involvement. They are as follows:
• Fall Festival
• Winter Celebration
• Spring (Egg Hunt) (Kindergarten Café)
• Field Day
• Teddy Bear Picnic

5. Student Information
• Please check the address on your child’s name tag to ensure accuracy.
• Please allow your child to ride the bus on the first day of school so that we’ll
know what bus they’ll be riding.
• Please inform me in writing if your child is going to be parent- pick up or
before/after school YMCA.
• Make sure to complete the entire student information packet and return it to
school by the end of the week. I communicate mostly through emails, so please
include your email address. I like to inform each parent of every thing that’s
going on throughout the week.

7. Homework
Students will be sent home with a Homework worksheet each Monday.
Students are to choose 3 items form the homework sheet to complete throughout the week.
Homework is to be returned on Friday Morning in their homework folders.

8. Student and Classroom Supplies
Please be sure to pick up a copy of our classroom supply list and be
prepared to send your child to school with the necessary items.
You may also print a copy from the school web site.
• You are more than welcome to put your label your child’s items
• Please send in replacement items each 9 weeks

Tissues, Stick Glue, Wet Wipes, Hand Sanitizer, Zip Lock Baggies
