Classroom Discipline Plan
Each morning students will receive three class clothespins. Students will
need to wear the clothespins the entire school day. Throughout the day your
child will have opportunities to earn more clothespins for making good
choices and working cooperatively with others. However, students who do not
follow class rules & procedures will have a clothespin taken away. Clothespins
can always be earned back!

Class Rules:
*Be helpful and not hurtful to yourself or others.
*Stay in your seat during appropriate times.
*Listen carefully and follow directions.

*Daily notes will be sent home everyday to keep parents aware of student
behavior and social interaction.
Consequences:
                      Clothespins
Lose 1 Clothespin – Lose 5 minutes during recess or afternoon center time
Lose 2 Clothespins – Lose 10 minutes during recess or afternoon center time
& Teacher/Student conference about behavior
Lose All Clothespins – Lose entire recess or afternoon center time & note
home
*If all clothespins are gone and behavior is still hurtful to themselves or
others student will have a timeout in another room, a phone call home, or a
visit to the office.
** Serious offensives go directly to the office.

*Yellow Note: 4 or more clothespins – Super Star Day!

*Pink Note: 3 clothespins – Good Day!

*Orange Note: 1 or 2 clothespins – Need to Improve Behavior!

*Blue Note: No clothespins – Bad Day!

                    What We Are Learning                                 Afternoon Centers
Reading: We learning to rhyme words. We are counting how
many words are in a sentence. We are learning letter names
and sounds. We have worked with the letters Aa, Ii, and Xx.
Next week we are going to study the letters Yy, Tt, and Ee.
Please help your child distinguish between capital letters and
lower case letters.
Writing: We are continuing to practice writing out first
names correctly. We have also practiced writing the letters
Aa & Ii. Please check at home to make sure your child is
holding their pencil or crayons correctly.
Math: We have been practicing using positional words.
(above, below, behind, in front, beside, next to.) We will be
beginning to sort objects by size, color, and shape.
Teacher's Message: We have been practicing classroom
routines and procedures. Everyone is doing a great job! We
