1. Sharing Teaching and Learning Ideas
Half Term One Focus: Sixth Form and Upper Band
Key Idea: Share the Examiner’s Report from Summer 2017
Exams with your students.
Ways you can do this in your classroom
• Give the students the examiner’s report and ask them to summarise it into ten
key ideas.
• Summarise the key ideas of the report for the students and ask them to reflect
on their attainment targets for the year and previous improvement feedback and
decide which ideas will make the biggest difference to them.
• In groups give students the examiner’s report and an exam question from the
summer. They must create a model answer / plan an answer using the
information given to them from the chief examiner.
• Give students the exam questions from the summer and discuss what you think
the strengths may have been in that question / what the pitfalls were and then
compare this to what the examiner’s report has stated about the question.
