technologies in the construction and
research, planning and evaluation?

2. NEW TYPES OF MEDIA USED DURING
THE PLANNING/RESEARCH
During the original planning stage, the use of word press blogs allowed
us to show our work over the whole process. This meant that our
production process was well documented throughout from the brief to
our final script and story-boards. The use of cameras was also
significant prior to production. We had to create a clear location plan
showing what areas we will use and what events shall occur- this was
based on photographs. The blogs also enabled us to share the images
with each other to go towards the location planning.
3. NEW TYPES OF MEDIA USED DURING
THE PRODUCTION PROCESS
We used ADOBE INDESIGN CS5 to format and design our
magazine review. This was completely new software to me
as prior to this task- I had never used the software before. I
found it quite challenging at first but after numerous
YouTube tutorials, it became quite accessible for me.
We also used Adobe Photoshop CC. This was used to create
my film poster. Technically this was not new software to me
as I have been using Adobe Photoshop for years. However
the latest version I have on my personal desktop at home
was CS5. The MAC’s which we used for the poster design
was on ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CC- the latest version. It was
mostly the same but there was a few noticeable differences,
and extra features that I had to get used to and learn how to
use.
4. Social networking
Using social networking site such as Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, we
were able to send our video using four separate accounts to a wide
range of people in a short amount of time. Through using these quick
social mediums, we were able to gain the views from almost all people
of genders and ages. This was the first time that any of us had used
these for such a constructive task.
5. SURVEY MONKEY
We used the data collection site, surveymonkey.com. The site enabled
us to create a multiple question survey- which we linked in to our video
on Facebook, Twitter and Youtube. We gained 28 replies and these
provided a varying opinion amongst viewers. Along with
Facebook/Youtube “Likes” as well as comments, these replies enabled
us to gain diversifying feedback for our film.
