May 04, 1976. I am 19
years of age. Living at
Madridejos, Alegria,
Cebu.
I'm a third year student
taking up Bachelor of
Elementary Education

Technological University

Moalboal , Cebu.
Educational Technology
Educational Technology is a
“complex”, integrated process
involving people, procedures, ideas,
devices and organization for analyzing
problems and devising, implementing,
evaluating and managing solutions to
those problems involved in all aspects
of human learning”.
Educational Technology is a field
involved in applying complex , integrated
process to analyze and solve problems in
human learning. And one thing that can help
the student more easier in the work and can
learn more what is in the technology all about.
Technology in Education
It is a practice of
educating students about
different technology and
engineering concept as they
relate to the “Human made”
world.
Instructional Technology
It is the art and study of building a
learning system and also building a feedback
mechanism into the learning system in such a
way that the system is sensitive in the
dynamics of each individuals learning
experience as well as the whole of
everyone’s experience and built in such a
way that the system is ever, improving in this
effectiveness and delivery of the subject
matter.
Technology Integration
Is the use of technology tools in general content
areas in education in order to allow students to apply
computer and technology skills to learning and problem
solving
Educational Media
Is any type of media used to educate someone on a
topic Educational Media can be used at home or in classroom
to supplement lessons primary documents, documentaries and
music.
Technology : Boon or Bane?
Technology can be called Boon or “Blessing” with
technology, there is a lot that we can do which we could not do
then. And a student it has a good opportunity to help us and to
make our work easy. To those people who are far from their
loved ones technology can make their lives easy because it can
their communication anytime.
Technology can be called Bane or “Curse” when
someone who over use it by bad doings. For those people who
are desperate enough to use it in bad just to have money. And
make people irresponsible to do their job because over spending
time of it.
THE ROLES OF EDUCATIONAL
TECHNOLOGY IN LEARNING :
Traditional Way
The learner learns from the technology and
the technology serves as a TEACHER. It serves as
source and presenter of knowledge. It is assumed that
“knowledge is embedded in the technology and the
technology presents that knowledge to a students”.
Technology like computers is seen as productivity tool.
Constructivist Way
Educational technology serves as learning
tools to learn with. It engages learners in active ,
constructive , intentional , authentic , and cooperative
learning. It provides opportunities for technology and
learner interaction for meaningful learning.
ROLES OF TECHNOLOGY IN
LEARNING
1. TECHNOLOGY AS TOOLS TO
SUPPORT KNOWLEDGE
CONSTRUCTION
 For representing learner’s ideas ,
understanding and beliefs.
2. TECHNOLOGY AS INFORMATION
VEHICLES FOR EXPLORING
KNOWLEDGE TO SUPPORT
LEARNING-BY-CONSTRUCTING:
 For accessing needed information.
3. TECHNOLOGY AS CONTEXT TO
SUPPORT LEARNING-BY-DOING:
 For representing and simulating
meaningful real-world problems ,
situations and contexts.
4 .TECHNOLOGY AS A SOCIAL MEDUIM TO SUPPORT
LEARNING BY CONVERSING:
 For collaborating with others
 For discussing , arguing and building consensus among
members of a community.
 For supporting discourse among knowledge-building
communities.
5. TECHNOLOGY AS INTELLECTUAL PARTNER TO
SUPPORT LEARNING-BY-REFLECTING:
 For helping what learners to articulate and represent what
they know
 For reflecting on what they have learned and how they
came to know it.
 For supporting learner’s internal negotiations of meaning.
When used effectively , research
indicates that technology:
1. augments motivation to learn ;
2. encourages collaborative learning ;
3. supports the development of critical
thinking skilss ; and
4. supports the development of problem
solving skills.

2. Choose Appropriate Method (CAM)
 Selecting the appropriate method of
teaching including the strategies and
techniques that you will use

7. Evaluate Outcomes (EO)
 Evaluating the outcome of the
discussion for us to know if our
objective is achieved or not.
 It can be written evaluation or oral
evaluation.
8. Refine the
Process (RP)
 It is the process wherein
if the students passed the
evaluation and you
achieved your objective
then you can proceed to
the new lesson and if the
objective is not met or
achieved then you will
again go back to the
process.

Before, we don’t know how to
manipulate computers or shall we say technology
tools. And now we are facilitated with our
instructors regarding with its strategies and
procedures.
In studying Ed Tech 1& 2 we had learn
how to work with computer from simple to
complex. And through this, we became literate
about technology.
The Student After
EDTECH
As a student I have gained knowledge
by our instructor. I know someday that this
skills will be helpful to me as a future
educator. And I’m sure that this skills will be
a help to myself especially in applying a job.
The learning that I gained from this subject be
useful in several ways.

  • 4. My name is Melita R. Aballe. I was born on May 04, 1976. I am 19 years of age. Living at Madridejos, Alegria, Cebu.
  • 5. I'm a third year student taking up Bachelor of Elementary Education Major in Content Education at Cebu Technological University Moalboal Campus Moalboal , Cebu.
  • 7. Educational Technology is a “complex”, integrated process involving people, procedures, ideas, devices and organization for analyzing problems and devising, implementing, evaluating and managing solutions to those problems involved in all aspects of human learning”.
  • 8. Educational Technology is a field involved in applying complex , integrated process to analyze and solve problems in human learning. And one thing that can help the student more easier in the work and can learn more what is in the technology all about.
  • 9. Technology in Education It is a practice of educating students about different technology and engineering concept as they relate to the “Human made” world.
  • 10. Instructional Technology It is the art and study of building a learning system and also building a feedback mechanism into the learning system in such a way that the system is sensitive in the dynamics of each individuals learning experience as well as the whole of everyone’s experience and built in such a way that the system is ever, improving in this effectiveness and delivery of the subject matter.

Technology Integration Is the use of technology tools in general content areas in education in order to allow students to apply computer and technology skills to learning and problem solving Educational Media Is any type of media used to educate someone on a topic Educational Media can be used at home or in classroom to supplement lessons primary documents, documentaries and music.
  • 12. Technology : Boon or Bane? Technology can be called Boon or “Blessing” with technology, there is a lot that we can do which we could not do then. And a student it has a good opportunity to help us and to make our work easy. To those people who are far from their loved ones technology can make their lives easy because it can their communication anytime. Technology can be called Bane or “Curse” when someone who over use it by bad doings. For those people who are desperate enough to use it in bad just to have money. And make people irresponsible to do their job because over spending time of it.
  • 13. THE ROLES OF EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY IN LEARNING : Traditional Way The learner learns from the technology and the technology serves as a TEACHER. It serves as source and presenter of knowledge. It is assumed that “knowledge is embedded in the technology and the technology presents that knowledge to a students”. Technology like computers is seen as productivity tool. Constructivist Way Educational technology serves as learning tools to learn with. It engages learners in active , constructive , intentional , authentic , and cooperative learning. It provides opportunities for technology and learner interaction for meaningful learning.
  • 14. ROLES OF TECHNOLOGY IN LEARNING 1. TECHNOLOGY AS TOOLS TO SUPPORT KNOWLEDGE CONSTRUCTION  For representing learner’s ideas , understanding and beliefs. 2. TECHNOLOGY AS INFORMATION VEHICLES FOR EXPLORING KNOWLEDGE TO SUPPORT LEARNING-BY-CONSTRUCTING:  For accessing needed information. 3. TECHNOLOGY AS CONTEXT TO SUPPORT LEARNING-BY-DOING:  For representing and simulating meaningful real-world problems , situations and contexts.
  • 15. 4 .TECHNOLOGY AS A SOCIAL MEDUIM TO SUPPORT LEARNING BY CONVERSING:  For collaborating with others  For discussing , arguing and building consensus among members of a community.  For supporting discourse among knowledge-building communities. 5. TECHNOLOGY AS INTELLECTUAL PARTNER TO SUPPORT LEARNING-BY-REFLECTING:  For helping what learners to articulate and represent what they know  For reflecting on what they have learned and how they came to know it.  For supporting learner’s internal negotiations of meaning.
  • 16. When used effectively , research indicates that technology: 1. augments motivation to learn ; 2. encourages collaborative learning ; 3. supports the development of critical thinking skilss ; and 4. supports the development of problem solving skills.

Choose Appropriate Method (CAM)  Selecting the appropriate method of teaching including the strategies and techniques that you will use  Will you use inductive or deductive approach ? specific to general or general to specific? 3. Choose Appropriate Experience (CAE)  Selecting the appropriate experiences for the students.  Selecting the right learning activities for the students.  Ex. Reading, Writing , Playing , Baking , Dancing , Etc. 4. Selecting Materials , Equipment and Facilities (SMEF)  Selecting the appropriate materials ,equipment , and even facilities you will use inn achieving your objective.  Selecting the best instructional material to achieved the best learning outcome. 5. Assign Personnel Roles (APR)  Assigning or delegating task to the person in charge to help you meet your objective.
  • 22. 6. Implement The Instruction (ITI)  Application of all the things you planned or prepared in order to meet your objective.  Engaging with the students.  Lesson Proper 7. Evaluate Outcomes (EO)  Evaluating the outcome of the discussion for us to know if our objective is achieved or not.  It can be written evaluation or oral evaluation. 8. Refine the Process (RP)  It is the process wherein if the students passed the evaluation and you achieved your objective then you can proceed to the new lesson and if the objective is not met or achieved then you will again go back to the process.

  • 26. . Before, we don’t know how to manipulate computers or shall we say technology tools. And now we are facilitated with our instructors regarding with its strategies and procedures. In studying Ed Tech 1& 2 we had learn how to work with computer from simple to complex. And through this, we became literate about technology.
  • 28. As a student I have gained knowledge by our instructor. I know someday that this skills will be helpful to me as a future educator. And I’m sure that this skills will be a help to myself especially in applying a job. The learning that I gained from this subject be useful in several ways.
