Lodeliza G. Tabanao. I
was born on October 29,
1996. I am 19 years of
age. Living at Polo ,
Alcantara, Cebu.
I'm a third year student
taking up Bachelor of
Elementary Education

Technological University

Educational
Technology
Educational Technology is
a theory about how problems in
human learning are identified and
solved. As a theory , educational
technology has an integrated set
of principles that explain and
predict observed events.
Educational Technology is a field
involved in applying complex , integrated
process to analyze and solve problems in
human learning. And one thing that can help
the student more easier in the work and can
learn more what is in the technology all about.
Technology in Education
It one of the terms
associated with educational
technology. It is a application
of technology to any of those
processes involved operating
the instructions which house
the educational enterprise.
Instructional Technology
It is the part of the
educational technology which
refers to those aspects of
educational technology that
are concerned with
instructions as contrasted to
designs and operations of
educational institutions.
Technology Integration
It means using learning
technologies to introduce , reinforce ,
supplement and extend skills.
Educational Media
These are channels or avenues or
instruments of communication.
Technology : Boon or Bane?
Technology can be called Boon or “Blessing”
when it has good effect to the person who are interested
in technology. With technology there is a lot that we
can do which we could not do then. It can help to those
person that far from each other that can make live
easier by the use of technology by webcam and
especially to those people who have job, technology
can more help to do it.
Technology can be called Bane or “Curse”
when it is over use by the people who are desperate
enough of doing things. To those people who are not
open-mindedness what is right and wrong. And use it in
a bad way just to have money even if that technology is
destroying you.
THE ROLES OF EDUCATIONAL
TECHNOLOGY IN LEARNING :
Traditional Way
The learner learns from the technology and
the technology serves as a TEACHER. It serves as
source and presenter of knowledge. It is assumed that
“knowledge is embedded in the technology and the
technology presents that knowledge to a students”.
Technology like computers is seen as productivity tool.
Constructivist Way
Educational technology serves as learning
tools to learn with. It engages learners in active ,
constructive , intentional , authentic , and cooperative
learning. It provides opportunities for technology and
learner interaction for meaningful learning.
ROLES OF TECHNOLOGY IN
LEARNING
1. TECHNOLOGY AS TOOLS TO
SUPPORT KNOWLEDGE
CONSTRUCTION
 For representing learner’s ideas ,
understanding and beliefs.
2. TECHNOLOGY AS INFORMATION
VEHICLES FOR EXPLORING
KNOWLEDGE TO SUPPORT
LEARNING-BY-CONSTRUCTING:
 For accessing needed information.
3. TECHNOLOGY AS CONTEXT TO
SUPPORT LEARNING-BY-DOING:
 For representing and simulating
meaningful real-world problems ,
situations and contexts.
4 .TECHNOLOGY AS A SOCIAL MEDUIM TO
SUPPORT LEARNING BY CONVERSING:
 For collaborating with others
 For discussing , arguing and building consensus
among members of a community.
5. TECHNOLOGY AS INTELLECTUAL
PARTNER TO SUPPORT LEARNING-BY-
REFLECTING:
 For helping what learners to articulate and
represent what they know
 For reflecting on what they have learned and
how they came to know it.
When used effectively , research
indicates that technology:
1. augments motivation to learn ;
2. encourages collaborative learning ;
3. supports the development of critical
thinking skilss ; and
4. supports the development of problem
solving skills.

 Application of all the things you
planned or prepared in order to meet
your objective.
 Engaging with the students.
 Lesson Proper
7. Evaluate Outcomes (EO)
 Evaluating the outcome of the
discussion for us to know if our
objective is achieved or not.
 It can be written evaluation or oral
evaluation.
8. Refine the Process (RP)
It is the process wherein if
the students passed the
evaluation and you
achieved your objective
then you can proceed to
the new lesson and if the
objective is not met or
achieved then you will
again go back to the
process.

.
This days we can see that there are
changes , especially in our generation right now
that has technology. Can we say that technology
is important?. Will for me it is yes because in
technology we learn from it. Technology is a
good help being a person and a student. There are
purpose why educational technology is being
taught. Educational technology 1 and 2 want us
student to become more knowledgeable enough
and how to use the instructional media base on
education.
There are many ways of engaging
the students to the situation what reality
is. Nowadays , the teacher will use their
creativity by the use of instructional
material. The teacher will discuss their
lesson by the use of instructional media,
in that we can get easily new information
and by the technology it can help us to
have a better learning.
As a future educator we must know the
right use of the computer so that it will never
replace the teacher. The teacher must be the one
who command the computer because it is just a
thing that will help the teacher and a student to
gather more information and to be with one other.
The technology will help the teacher to
give chances to the students that will learn in
excel in applying medias in their learning. And for
these it can help more both teacher and the
students. The technology has big role in the
learning process.
The Student
After EDTECH
Now the students are called the 21st
century learners because they are living in a
modern generation who are encountered
technology in their daily life. Which can we
say that the student will engage more in what
is new and can compare better and most. In
this every individual has the chance to
experience and learn more about the
technology life. And we can say that we can
have better future and better life that we will
encounter everyday and to the next day to
come.

  • 4. My name is Maria Lodeliza G. Tabanao. I was born on October 29, 1996. I am 19 years of age. Living at Polo , Alcantara, Cebu.
  • 5. I'm a third year student taking up Bachelor of Elementary Education Major in Content Education at Cebu Technological University Moalboal Campus Moalboal , Cebu.
  • 7. Educational Technology is a theory about how problems in human learning are identified and solved. As a theory , educational technology has an integrated set of principles that explain and predict observed events.
  • 8. Educational Technology is a field involved in applying complex , integrated process to analyze and solve problems in human learning. And one thing that can help the student more easier in the work and can learn more what is in the technology all about.
  • 9. Technology in Education It one of the terms associated with educational technology. It is a application of technology to any of those processes involved operating the instructions which house the educational enterprise.
  • 10. Instructional Technology It is the part of the educational technology which refers to those aspects of educational technology that are concerned with instructions as contrasted to designs and operations of educational institutions.
  • 11. Technology Integration It means using learning technologies to introduce , reinforce , supplement and extend skills. Educational Media These are channels or avenues or instruments of communication.
  • 12. Technology : Boon or Bane? Technology can be called Boon or “Blessing” when it has good effect to the person who are interested in technology. With technology there is a lot that we can do which we could not do then. It can help to those person that far from each other that can make live easier by the use of technology by webcam and especially to those people who have job, technology can more help to do it. Technology can be called Bane or “Curse” when it is over use by the people who are desperate enough of doing things. To those people who are not open-mindedness what is right and wrong. And use it in a bad way just to have money even if that technology is destroying you.
  • 13. THE ROLES OF EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY IN LEARNING : Traditional Way The learner learns from the technology and the technology serves as a TEACHER. It serves as source and presenter of knowledge. It is assumed that “knowledge is embedded in the technology and the technology presents that knowledge to a students”. Technology like computers is seen as productivity tool. Constructivist Way Educational technology serves as learning tools to learn with. It engages learners in active , constructive , intentional , authentic , and cooperative learning. It provides opportunities for technology and learner interaction for meaningful learning.
  • 14. ROLES OF TECHNOLOGY IN LEARNING 1. TECHNOLOGY AS TOOLS TO SUPPORT KNOWLEDGE CONSTRUCTION  For representing learner’s ideas , understanding and beliefs. 2. TECHNOLOGY AS INFORMATION VEHICLES FOR EXPLORING KNOWLEDGE TO SUPPORT LEARNING-BY-CONSTRUCTING:  For accessing needed information. 3. TECHNOLOGY AS CONTEXT TO SUPPORT LEARNING-BY-DOING:  For representing and simulating meaningful real-world problems , situations and contexts.
  • 15. 4 .TECHNOLOGY AS A SOCIAL MEDUIM TO SUPPORT LEARNING BY CONVERSING:  For collaborating with others  For discussing , arguing and building consensus among members of a community. 5. TECHNOLOGY AS INTELLECTUAL PARTNER TO SUPPORT LEARNING-BY- REFLECTING:  For helping what learners to articulate and represent what they know  For reflecting on what they have learned and how they came to know it.
  • 16. When used effectively , research indicates that technology: 1. augments motivation to learn ; 2. encourages collaborative learning ; 3. supports the development of critical thinking skilss ; and 4. supports the development of problem solving skills.

Choose Appropriate Method (CAM)  Selecting the appropriate method of teaching including the strategies and techniques that you will use  Will you use inductive or deductive approach ? specific to general or general to specific? 3. Choose Appropriate Experience (CAE)  Selecting the appropriate experiences for the students.  Selecting the right learning activities for the students.  Ex. Reading, Writing , Playing , Baking , Dancing , Etc. 4. Selecting Materials , Equipment and Facilities (SMEF)  Selecting the appropriate materials ,equipment , and even facilities you will use inn achieving your objective.  Selecting the best instructional material to achieved the best learning outcome. 5. Assign Personnel Roles (APR)  Assigning or delegating task to the person in charge to help you meet your objective.
  • 22. 6. Implement The Instruction (ITI)  Application of all the things you planned or prepared in order to meet your objective.  Engaging with the students.  Lesson Proper 7. Evaluate Outcomes (EO)  Evaluating the outcome of the discussion for us to know if our objective is achieved or not.  It can be written evaluation or oral evaluation. 8. Refine the Process (RP) It is the process wherein if the students passed the evaluation and you achieved your objective then you can proceed to the new lesson and if the objective is not met or achieved then you will again go back to the process.

  • 26. . This days we can see that there are changes , especially in our generation right now that has technology. Can we say that technology is important?. Will for me it is yes because in technology we learn from it. Technology is a good help being a person and a student. There are purpose why educational technology is being taught. Educational technology 1 and 2 want us student to become more knowledgeable enough and how to use the instructional media base on education.
  • 27. There are many ways of engaging the students to the situation what reality is. Nowadays , the teacher will use their creativity by the use of instructional material. The teacher will discuss their lesson by the use of instructional media, in that we can get easily new information and by the technology it can help us to have a better learning.
  • 28. As a future educator we must know the right use of the computer so that it will never replace the teacher. The teacher must be the one who command the computer because it is just a thing that will help the teacher and a student to gather more information and to be with one other. The technology will help the teacher to give chances to the students that will learn in excel in applying medias in their learning. And for these it can help more both teacher and the students. The technology has big role in the learning process.
  • 30. Now the students are called the 21st century learners because they are living in a modern generation who are encountered technology in their daily life. Which can we say that the student will engage more in what is new and can compare better and most. In this every individual has the chance to experience and learn more about the technology life. And we can say that we can have better future and better life that we will encounter everyday and to the next day to come.
