2. This is a screenshot of the fade being inputted onto the
intro clip. I used the ‘pen tool’ to create a point in
which the fading starts and finishes, to set a speed at
which the fade appears.
3. Here I have copied and pasted the attributes to the intro clip,
meaning that the fade in/out will be copied on to the
other clips that I choose. This is to make the editing process
more efficient.
4. Here I have dragged the desired soundtrack to
the audio track to be laid over the voice of
interviewees for a backing track.
5. Here I dragged the ‘exponential fade’ transition between 2
parts of the soundtrack at different points to be merged.
This is so the chorus of the song is playing half way through
the first Q & A.
6. Here I added a fade in/out to the soundtrack so that the
music doesn’t cut off completely. This is to add a sense of
professionalism to the video. I also changed the overall
volume level down by 8 decibels as also shown in the
screenshot. This is so the music did not interfere with the
sound of the interviewee’s voices.
7. I split the clips into sections for each Q&A then left an
approx. 4 second blank space for the cutaways to
be added in.
