William Shakespeare, known as the Bard of Avon, is one
of English's best writers.
He was born in Stradford-upon-Avon in England in the
1500s.
Not only is his work recognized everywhere, but it has
also had extensive impact in literature and in the English
language.

His legacy is evident not only in literature but in

integrated and replicated his writing style.
John Keats replicated his style of poetry and used a lot of

Shakespeare's work, though being written decades ago, maintains its
relevance to society to this day.
His study of love in Romeo and Juliet continues to be studied and referred
to in daily life.

Shylock's soliloquy in The Merchant of Venice: "If you prick us, do we not
bleed?" continues to be applicable to current social justice issues.
Shakespeare had a unique ability to be in touch with human emotion, and
