I am a responsible, well-presented, experienced in sales and marketing strategies for
bar/restaurant, retail and direct sales. In all my projects, I emphasise the crucial need for
teamwork lead by strong leadership.
I flourish best in a warm communicative and supportive environment rather than a cold
corporate one of suits and memos as I find that friendly communication and interaction (the
personal touch) with my team ultimately produces better results in the long term.
I have worked in the family restaurant from age 8-17yrs in almost every position learning the
principles of customer service (and in NYC sometimes having to do the work of two people!).
Though I have spent the last two years in Rome because of a family emergency, I am now back
permanently.

Managed all seating planning and active floor managing during lunch and dinner to associate
specific clients with specifically trained waiting staff and organising catered events in a
similar fashion.

With over 30 years experience, I have learned to explore a business from the viewpoint of
what the bosses want to achieve - not only in profitability and market share - but in style of
service, branding of image and overall popular impact (or WOW factor). I then assess
whether all the above are being best served - and if not - (in partnership with you) refine all
current business strategies (and perhaps try a few new ones) to get the best results possible.
• Regardless of our initial vision of our business goals, we may find that market conditions
change or evolve which we must be prepared to keep up with. Add to this the ever adapting

I assisted the head chef in a very busy gourmet restaurant. Responsible for a specific station
within the kitchen and its preparation, hygiene and inventory

I created over a dozen different types of cocktails and elaborate appetiser platters as well
as having an extensive knowledge of not only our wines but wines in general as I had to suggest
new selections as well to our restaurant clientele.

1992 – 1998 Deputy Sales Manager
Responsible for showroom sales of new and fashionable sofa-beds to the public. I Held the
North-East record in sofabed sales two years running.
