2. Process
• I created a dark night
background, with a moon and
stars. I then added a
graveyard, grass and a house.
I then added a fence and a
tombstone, as well as a ghost
on separate layer, then
shrinking the ghost down so
its smaller and looks more
realistic when it is next to the
house. This was useful as it
meant I didn't have to
recreate the ghost to use it
3. Process
• Because the ghost is on a
separate layer, I can show it
moving through objects I
therefore moved it through a
tombstone and a fence.
Showing that is a ghost and
that it can go through walls.
• I also started moving it
towards the house to show
whoever is in the house is
endanger of being attacked by
the ghost, but the view/play
would still have no clue what to
do
4. Process
• Ghost moves towards the
building/house to show that,
the build is its target and that
someone inside of it has
annoyed the ghost or angered
it causing it to approach the
house, but the intentions of
the ghost are still unknown,
and it is still up to the
viewer/player to decide why
the ghost is doing what it is
doing.
5. Process
• The ghost climbs the chimney
to enter and kills whoever is
inside, most likely the player.
• There are no hints to why the
player was killed by the ghost.
But they have to figure out
why they got killed by
the ghost and a way of killing
it. All the player is told is it
cannot go through certain
walls meaning that it must
find other way of entering
the house
6. Process
• This is where the ghost kills the
person it is haunting/has been
awoken by. I showed this by a
splatter of blood appearing on the
wall which happens over two
frames to show the victory of the
ghost and the loss of the human.
• The story is left a mystery of the
reason for the ghost attacking is
left as a mystery as
the viewer/player must guess why
he/she was attacked by the ghost.
As if they can create the story they
want and either justify why the
ghost attacked or betray it as a
great evil that attacks whoever
they want.
7. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
- I may keep the mystery of it left to whoever is playing or watching but leaving enough hints that a story could
be made of it as well. I also may have it, so the bad guy wins normally, unless you trick it and happen to figure
out a way of stopping it
• Refer to the brief: Ghost Game
- I am happy with how the ghost game came out and that I will base my idea for my final product on this and
another game called Subnautica (Not Subnautica Below Zero has it has story telling elements involved and
doesn't have a mystery as the original Subnautica does). This being that the player must figure out what
happened to me them and how they stop/defeat the threat that is affecting them or coming after them. As
well as how to adapt to their current situations and how they can survive
