TYPES OF SPEECH CONTEXT

2. INTRAPERSONAL
-communication that centers on one person where the speaker acts as
both the sender and the receiver of the message. The message is made up
of your thoughts and feelings.
Example: You spent the night thinking and analyzing how to budget your
allowance for a week.

3. INTERPERSONAL
-communication between and among people establishes personal
relationship between and among them.
Example: Talking to your classmates about your final requirement.

4. Two types:
 DYAD
 communication
between two people.
 SMALL
GROUP
 communication
that involves 3 but
not more than 12
people.

5. PUBLIC
-communication that requires you to deliver or send the message
before or in front of a group or an audience.
Example: A senator delivers his privilege speech in front his
fellows.

6. MASS COMMUNICATION
-communication that takes place through television, radio,
newspaper, billboards and other forms of media.
Example: Student journalist writes an article in a school paper.

7. ACTIVITY 1
GROUP 1(Intra)- reflecting what life would be when you
take
drugs
GROUP 2 (Inter)- Barangay Chairman calls the barangay
council for a meeting on how they are going to motivate
the youth not to take drugs.
GROUP 3 ( Public)- The chief of police conducts a
symposium to
all Senior HS students about the sanctions if caught using
and pushing drugs.
GROUP 4 ( Mass Communication)- Former drug
users are interviewed on national television about their
experiences in using drugs.
