• Observation is “the action or process
of observing something or someone
in order to get information”
• our observation skills inform us about
objects, events, attitudes and
phenomena using one or more
senses.

Examples:
• Noted trainees’ level of involvement in
all activities
• Monitored the energy level of the
trainees during sessions
• Sensed the needs of the trainees that
may affect learning process

- are essential to good teaching
teachers often use questions to
ensure that students are attentive,
engaged, and to assess students’
understanding.
