Rationale:
- During the year, I was able to gain skills that have being used in the past projects. For
example, I improved my methods in print media, the product that I created recently looks
more professional and unique by having different layout, content, colours from my last year
projects. This time the product was more interesting and different. I have learned how to edit
the images using spots healing brush tool and patch tool. I also learned how to adjust the
image, to make it bright or dark. I will use this method to edit the images to make it looks
more interesting and to give the magazine cover a good appearance. My culinary magazine
was my inspiration to create this fashion magazine because I enjoyed the most producing
the project which I think will help me to achieve my plans for this new project.
Project Concept:
- For this project, I will make a magazine cover and two double page spread. In the first double
page spread article will have an interview with a model and will be talking about her life
journey to become a model; all the problems that she had to pass. It will also have life tips
for all the girls that doesn’t feel comfortable with their bodies. For the double page, I will be
interviewing the same model that is in the cover, this will make the audience know what will
be inside the magazine. In the magazine cover, will have a photography of the model, for
that I will be using the white background in the studio where I will be able to change to a
different colour when editing. In the second double page spread, will have tips and some
clothes from the spring collection, the trends that will be using in the season. For this I will
be taking the images outside so that I could be able to add more images in the background
to make the double page spread interesting for the audience.
- The main idea of creating this magazine is to make the audience feel confident with their
bodies. The magazine will be also adverting the spring collection on the front cover, this will
make the audience know that the new season has begun.
- For this project I will have to make my own article based on research, I might use some
websites as Vogue or Elle to know how their articles are so that I could have some
inspirations for my magazine. I also will look into websites articles just to have an idea of
how they make their articles so that the audience could feel attached to it.
How will the project be evaluated and reviewed?
- To evaluate my work, I will analyse the feedback given by my audience, this would help me
to know what need to be improve. Another method to evaluate my work is using existing
products to compare them to my final product which will also help me to see the weaknesses
of my product. I will also make a daily development diary so that I could see it through which
will help me to know the aspects that needs to be improved.
