Similarities and Differences
Paranormal Activity is aimed at a wide variety of ages, for example people that like a tense horror film could be
any age above 15 (since Paranormal activity is a 15)
Avatar also had a very wide range target audience, quite a family based film, so all ages and it also has features
of different genres within the film such as a bit of romance, a bit of action and a bit of animation, to suit all.
Differences that occur between the two Movies however is their genre since paranormal activity is a super
natural form of film however avatar is a mixture of typical family genres i.e. love, animation science fiction
and action.
Paramount pictures and 20th Century fox are very well known film production companies since they have both
released very famous films over time.
20th century fox have released a number of very successful films including Titanic, X-men and Alvin and the
Chipmunks, Titanic was a real life event and so the film was very famous all over the world, this was the
main reason I believe for this film being so successful, however the majority of the films that are released by
20th century fox are very well known through the UK and America.
Paramount Pictures also have released a great number of successful films such as Transformers, Indianan
Jones, The Godfather and Star Trek, all of these are very well known, such as the film Transformers, this
film was aimed mainly at teenage boys to men in their thirties, I expect since it was very action based.
20th Century Fox mainly released films based on a family orientated genres such as romance, mild action or
comedy however Paramount Pictures releases more action/adventure/thriller based films.
I Personally think 20th Century Fox will Continue to be more successful due to the range of films that are
released, I personally overall like the films that are released through 20th century fox to the films that are
released through paramount pictures
