1. Photography plan
I wanta close upimage for mycover,where the model
lookstiredordazed.OddlyenoughIcouldn’tfindanimage
of an actual personexpressingmyidea,soinsteadIfound
thispainting.The ideaisthatthispersonlookslike arock
star at the heightof theirfame,theyneedtolooktiredand
burntout to representthe style of the magazine,the image
and designshouldcoordinatewitheachotherinthateffect
so that the genre of the magazine isclearto see.The model
shouldbe youngsothat the targetaudience canfeel asif
theyrelate tothe cover and thusthe magazine,there
shouldn’tbe aneedforprops butif so I will use fake blood
on the lipsof the model togive the impressionhe hasjust
beenina fightwhichwill give the impressionof anger,this
will alsotie intothe general theme of the magazine aswell.
Most coloursusedinmy proposedcolourscheme will be
dark butneutral so that the attentionisdrawnto the cover
image more than anythingotherthanthe logo.

connote to the masculinityof

I am consideringalandscape shotformydouble spread
image,possiblywiththe model lookingawayfromthe
camera I wantthe model to lookshyhoweverIcoulddo
somethingsimilartowhattheyhave done withMatty
Healyinclash magazine,where he facesthe cameraina
midshotbuthideshisface givingthe impressionthathe is
shyor hidingfromthe reader.Proceedingthensection
the secondhalf of the double spreadimage totextand
smallerimagesof the model withasimilartheme and
general bodylanguage.
MISE-EN-SCENE
For the coverof the magazine Idon’twant propsinvolvedasI
wantthe image tobe a close upshot of the models face, make
up however,couldbe usedina‘gore-ish’wayforexample
some bruisesandbleedingaroundthe eye/nose areaof my
modelsface like so…
Propshowevercanbe usedwithinthe contentsanddouble
spreadpagesto helpmake the shotmore interestingforthe
readerand to addsome effectordrama to the image itself,
small itemssuchas trinkets,animals, weapons( nothinglike a
gun , maybe anoversizedbaseball batsothat the model looks
menacinganddangerous.)
