Do you expect students to produce the animal sounds?
One student said blue without being asked. Great!
You asked What is it?, eliciting the animal words from them. As they didn´t remember,
because they hadn´t had much exposure, you could have given them some options.
For example, you may have asked Is it a dog? Is it a cat? Is it a bird? It would have
been easier for students to recognize the word than to produce it.
When singing the song, you should have mimed it, so that students understood what it
was about.
Language: How does the dog? Is it an incomplete question? You translated it as
“¿Cómo hace el perro?” Careful! The correct question would be How does the dog
go/say?
