FADE IN:
SCENE 1: INT. REVY’S HOUSE CORRIDOR. NIGHT.
REVY’s plain white bedroom door sits in the middle of a cream
coloured corridor: to the right of it, there’s another white
door which is open, though the room inside can’t be seen apart
from the aqua floor by the door.
SCENE 2: INT. REVY’S BEDROOM. NIGHT.
REVY sits on her bed comfortably, listening to music through
some earphones, eyes closed. Her pale pink hair flows down her
back, and her fringe is brushed out of the way of her eyes.
She’s wearing a lilac T-shirt and blue leggings, with her feet
bare. Her phone is on the bed to her right, and she’s
listening to music. Her curtains are mostly closed, though a
crack reveals its dark outside. REVY’s room is a mix of messy
and clean; an Xbox controller sits at the foot of her bed
along with her PJs, and yet her bookshelf is neat and tidy and
her bed which she’s sitting on is made.
REVY pulls her earphones out and immediately there’s a ding as
she receives a message. REVY picks up her phone to check who
is messaging her. It’s from someone simply called “Rosa <3”.
ROSA is REVY’s girlfriend, who remains faceless for the
majority of the film: ‘You and I should probably be getting
some rest soon, shouldn’t we?’ Her eyes narrowing, REVY
notices the time on her phone: 12:10am at night. She responds
to ROSA: ‘Sh*t, you’re right. We should probably go to sleep.
Especially since we’ve got college tomorrow.’ REVY makes her
phone go on standby and gets up, heading out her bedroom and
entering the bathroom.
SCENE 3: INT. REVY’S BATHROOM. NIGHT.
The bathroom has a simplistic layout: opposite the door is a
toilet, and far to the side of the toilet is a shower. In
between the shower and toilet is the sink, with a shelf in
front of it for toothbrushes and the mirror. REVY places her
phone on the shelf, to the left (her right) of the mirror.
As she brushes her teeth and then brushes her hair afterwards,
she keeps looking back at her phone over and over again; she’s
waiting for a response. Once REVY is done brushing her hair,
she grabs her phone and leaves the bathroom, heading back to
her own bedroom.

SCENE 4: INT. REVY’S BEDROOM. NIGHT.
REVY sits down on her bed with her legs hanging over the side,
and another ding alerts her of a response. She looks down at
her phone to see ROSA has replied to her message from earlier:
‘Yup. Sounds like a plan to me!’
REVY responds quickly: ‘What took you so long?’ and gets a
response from ROSA after a few more moments pass: ‘I was busy,
sorry ‘bout that.’
(BEAT)
REVY responds with: ‘It’s fine, don’t expect you to be there
all the time after all.’ Before she puts her phone down on the
bed and flops backwards, lying with her arms and legs spread
like a starfish as she looks up at the ceiling. Looking a
little worried, she closes her eyes.
SCENE 4A: REVY’S MIND, NIGHT.
REVY opens her eyes suddenly, as she and the world around her
goes black. Her body is outlined white, her hair has turned
grey, and all colour has disappeared. REVY quickly gets up and
looks around, and fear quickly hits her as she seems to
realise where she is. REVY begins to run to the left (her
right), trying to get somewhere. As she runs, dark figures
start to appear and disappear in the background, almost like
ghosts.
When REVY sees the Safe Space, she begins to run faster and
becomes more frantic, as she knows that it’s the place she
needs to go to escape the ghostly figures; she’s aware they’re
following her. The Safe Space stands out from the darkness as
a large and bright area with green grass, flowers and a pond,
as well as some trees. White figures, GOOD THOUGHTS, stand
about the Safe Space, and each of them look slightly different
from each other with their different hairstyles and
haircolours. There’s also some of the GOOD THOUGHTS that are
in the form of white animals, mostly birds and butterflies,
though there’s a cat and a dog there too.
Suddenly, as REVY gets closer to the Safe Space, a large swarm
of the ghostly figures rise from the ground and block her
access to the Safe Space. They are the SHADOW PEOPLE, each at
a different height and also with different expressions: most
seem angry, though some look gleeful and others look sad.
Behind the wall of SHADOW PEOPLE, some of the GOOD THOUGHTS in
the Safe Space turn and look to see what’s going on. They all
look shocked. REVY screeches to a halt, clearly surprised. Her
expression shifts to one of fear, as she quickly turns around

and then runs in the other direction. As REVY tries to get
away from the SHADOW PEOPLE as fast as she can, they all
promptly chase after her in their large group, hunting her
down like an animal after their prey.
After running fearfully for a few moments, REVY suddenly trips
up and stumbles, falling forward and landing on her hands and
knees. The SHADOW PEOPLE rush forward and crowd REVY as she
lies on the floor. Looking around and seeing that she’s
surrounded, REVY begins to try and kick away the SHADOW
PEOPLE, who all begin to say horrible things to her. SHADOW 1
speaks first out of the crowd, saying: ‘You’re such a
failure.’ SHADOW 2 speaks after them, saying: ‘Nobody cares
about you!’ Terrified and trying to block out the SHADOW
PEOPLE, REVY curls up on her front on the floor and starts to
cry, as more and more SHADOW PEOPLE surround and say horrible
things to her. SHADOW 1 starts to jeer at her again, shouting:
‘You mean absolutely nothing!’ to REVY. SHADOW 4 shouts too,
stating: ‘You’re not talented at all!’ while SHADOW 3 yells
beside them: ‘You’re so pathetic!’
REVY screams loudly and suddenly, getting overwhelmed by the
SHADOW PEOPLE surrounding her and sounding desperate for
someone to come to her aid. As she screeches, the SHADOW
PEOPLE all vanish in an instant, leaving REVY alone on the
floor in the darkness.
Carefully and quietly, a GOOD THOUGHT in the shape of a bird
lands in front of REVY as she continues to cry. It says
softly: ‘You’re pretty!’
REVY looks up at the GOOD THOUGHT in disbelief and surprise
from behind her fringe. Behind her another GOOD THOUGHT walks
over, in the form of a female human with short red hair. GOOD
THOUGHT 2 says encouragingly: ‘C’mon, you’re doing so well!’
Another GOOD THOUGHT in the form of a male human with short
blue hair appears beside the GOOD THOUGHT with red hair, and
then a GOOD THOUGHT in the form of a butterfly lands on her
head, and then another one appears by the bird. One by one,
more GOOD THOUGHT’s appear around REVY, supporting her with
kind words. GOOD THOUGHT 3 murmurs: ‘You’re trying your best.’
GOOD THOUGHT 4 says: ‘People do care about you, y’know.’
Shortly after them, GOOD THOUGHT 5 states firmly: ‘You deserve
to be loved.’ A few more tears fall from REVY’s eyes as she
smiles, before then proceeding to close her eyes, now calm and
content.

SCENE 4B: INT. REVY’S BEDROOM. NIGHT
REVY’s eyes open when the sound of her receiving a
notification brings her back to reality. The world around her
has changed once again, and she’s back in her pastel room, on
her bed, still sprawled out like a starfish. Blinking a few
times in surprise, REVY sits up and looks at her phone, before
picking it up and reading the message, which is from ROSA:
‘Hey, you okay?’
(BEAT)
REVY responds after a moment: ‘Yea, I’m just… Dealing
with some troubles again.’ ROSA replies to her message
a few seconds later: ‘You’re alright now though,
aren’t you? You want me to stay awake a bit longer?’
REVY blushes and smiles to herself, before responding:
‘No, I’m gonna be okay. Thanks though sweetheart. I
appreciate it <3’ ROSA replies to her girlfriend after
another moment of nothing: ‘No problem. I’ll see you
tomorrow then. Goodnight, sleep well! I love you <3’’
Finally closing the conversation, REVY replies with:
‘Goodnight Rosa. I love you too, so much xx’
REVY puts down her phone on her bedside table, next to a photo
frame of REVY and ROSA: ROSA has short dark blue hair and
glasses, and in the picture she’s wearing a white t-shirt and
dark blue jeans to match her hair colour. As REVY gets up from
the bed and passes the picture, the GOOD THOUGHT in the form
of a white bird from earlier appears, perched beside it. Off-
screen, REVY gets changed into her PJs seen earlier, as the
GOOD THOUGHT sits patiently and pecks at the photo frame in an
almost curious manner. Once REVY is finished getting dressed,
she goes and reaches out for the light switch, which is by her
door and also by her mirror that sits on the wall to the left
of the door. However, as she does so, she pauses and looks at
herself in the mirror with a concerned expression. The GOOD
THOUGHT flies up and lands on her shoulder, chirping
cheerfully and innocently. REVY smiles at her reflection,
looking happy, before turning off the light.
