1. Idea 1 Script Draft
A ding rings out, the sound of a phone notification. Revy’s eyes open as suddenly
colour returns to the world: her black shadowed skin turns white once again, her
greyed out hair becomes pink, and her tears vanish all in an instant. A birds eye view
shot reveals her lying on her bed once again in her room, starfishing with her arms
and legs sprawled out. Now at a full body shot showing her body, Revy sits herself up
and grabs her phone which sits on the bed still. There’s a message from Rosa which
she just received. We get a close up of her phone as we see the message conversation
the two start having.
Rosa (Message)
You okay, Revy?
Revy (Message)
Yea, I’m just… *brief pause* dealing with some troubles again. The usual.
Rosa (Message)
But you’re alright now though, aren’t you?? Do you want me to stick around a bit
longer before I go to bed?
The shot cuts to a close up on Revy’s face, as she smiles to herself. The shot cuts back
to the phone as Revy responds to her girlfriend.
Revy (Message)
Nah, I’m gonna be ok. Thanks though sweetheart. I appreciate it <3
Rosa (Message)
No prob. I’ll see you tomorrow then. Goodnight, sleep well! I love you <3
Revy (Message)
Goodnight Rosa. Love you too, so much xx
The shot cuts to Revy, placing her phone on her bedside table before standing up. The
camera cuts to a small white bird which appears as the shot cuts back to her
bedroom table, waiting patiently as she gets dressed. Once we cut back to Revy, she’s
now in a dark pink PJ vest and some light cream PJ trousers, her old clothes laying on
a small chair sat at the end of her bed. Looking relaxed and comfortable, Revy walks
past the bird and goes to her light switch. She pauses by the mirror as she does so,
looking at herself. As she looks at herself, the white bird reappears and sits on her
shoulder, causing her to smile. Happy with who she is for this moment, she turns off
the lights, and the film ends.
