14. Economic Performance
Economic benefits:
It can generate 560 million kilowatt-hours of
electricity every year, creating an economic
benefit of 60 million US dollars and turning over
3 million US dollars in Mozambican tax revenue.
Employment:Employment:
During the construction of the hydropower station,
the employment of 1,000 local workers can be
solved, and when the power station is completed,
the employment of 100 local workers can be hired.
15. Social Performance
Social benefits:
Make full use of natural resources, reduce the pressure of
electricity consumption in northern Mozambique, provide
electricity for production activities in the north, and
ensure that people's lives do not have to suffer from power
rationing.
Environment:
In terms of irrigation, after the completion of the dam
reservoir in Caidas, it will be able to divert water to
irrigate the farmland downstream and solve the problem of
industrial and domestic water consumption in Pengba and some
towns along the line. It will play a positive role in
improving the living standard of the local people and
promoting economic development and social stability.
