1. Name of Project: Nai Gaj Dam
2. Location:On Gaj River in the Gorkh Area At the edge of Kirthar range at about 65 km
north west of Dadu city in Sindh Province
3. Authorities Responsibility For :Government of Pakisatn
I. Sponsoring:Government of Sindh under the auspices of Federal Government of
Pakisatn
II. Execution:water and power development authority (WAPADA)
4. Iv: concerned federal ministry: Ministry of power and -
energy development of Pakistan.
4:Plan provision:The project is prophesized to complete
within tenure of 5 year its initial 2 years are reserved for
the formation of base and road work, in the commence of
3rd year the highly sophisticated machinery would be
installed to check their working and feasiability mode . in
4th year an especial team will examine and conduct the
test results while final year will be the inaugural year for
the project.

sectoral objectives:
-To preserve water for irrigation and also to
generate electricity.
-This project will create brightfull job
opportunities for the people of Sindh and
outsiders.
-It would boost the economy of Sindh through
agrarian profit.
-It will help to save the rainy water in effective
manner.
6. 6:Description,justification and technical
parameters:
As Pakistan is badly suffering from
water scanty and its detrimental results we all are
feeling in different modes such as economical
crisis,deforestation,global warming and barren
lands, especially Sindh province whose inhabitants
are majorly relying on agriculture are moving
through critical situation. Every year plenty of
water is being drained in sea because we have no
storage capacity to store this endowment, so it is

which can store the water of Nain Gaj and rainy
water and it would also generate electricity 4.2
megawatt which will not only eradicate littlebit
blindness from province but also will help to
enhance fertile lands of Sindh.

11. 9: Project benefits and analysis:
• THIS project will be a small treasure for both parties (facilitator and user)
because from its inception it will create jobs for local as well as outsiders
who can bitterly serve their families without going to exotic cities , this
project will also irrigate 29000 acres of field definitely it will generate
revenue for local peoples.There is another advantage of this mini dam is
that it will also generate electricity which will be more useful for Sindh and
in this way the government of Pakistan/Sindh would get its pennies.
• THIS project is perpotious for local residents because this is golden chance
for them to again fertile their lands and contribute to the economy of
Sindh.
12. 10: Environmental impact:
THIS project is very congenial to environment at
some extent because it is little bit hazardous for
aquatic plants and animals because the
temperature of dam ,its conditions will create
ambiguities for them. But we have also create
permeable membrane through which we can divert
their flow , but rest of things are soothing.
