4. HISTORY OF TELE-RADIOLOGY
1996- a private sector company named “Jankharia
Imaging in Mumbai used to transfer radiographs from
radiological center’s to doctor’s home initially.
1997-Annual Congress of the Indian Radiology and
Imaging Association (IRIA) in 1997, where they
demonstrated the transfer of radiological images from
a Siemens AR.C scanner to the conference site.
2002-The first tele-radiology company“TELE-
RADIOLOGY SOLUTIONs” emerged and where
indian tele-radiologist and US based tele-radiologist
interpreted different radiological images across the
globe.
