2. • Forms of energy
-Light energy: Most of the light comes from the Sun. It’s the
fastest form of energy. Travels 300,000 kilometres per second.
Made up of seven different colours. Always travels in a straight
line.
-Sound energy: Is a vibration travel in any direction
Transmit these vibrations move through the air large
vibrations loud sounds, small vibrations soft sounds.
3. -Kinetic energy: All moving things, have kinetic energy.
Produced motion or movement.
-Electrical energy: Power machines transform into light.
Different sources. Electricity can generated energy from
sunlight.
-Thermal energy: This flow is called heat. Make the substances
change state. We use to warm houses and cook food.
4. • Energy sources
Renewable energy
-Solar energy: Is renewable and doesn’t pollute, however solar
panels sunny climates.
-Wind energy: Is clean and renewable but wind turbines only
work in windy places.
-Water energy: Is renewable and doesn´t create pollution, but
the construction of dams causes biodiversity loss.
5. -Biomass: Is organic material derived from living things, wood,
vegetation or food waste. Biomass is burned in power station
produces steam.
-Geothermal energy: Heat produced decomposition of
underground radioactive substances.
6. Non-renewable
-Fossil fuels
Include coal, oil. Are decomposed organic material
underground for millions of years.
-Coal: Pollutes and produces energy.
-Oil: Cause ecological disasters cause global warming and air
pollution.
Uranium
Nuclear power stations use radioactive metal generate
electricity. Nuclear stations are expensives dangerous
radioactive waste cause cancer.
