2. Content
The content of all of my products is effective, and all of this
combines together to create a brand identity that can be easily
recognised by the target audience.
The film poster and magazine cover both use characters from the
film, as does sections of the film trailer, correctly representing
them through the technical elements and they stick to the
conventions and maintain the brand identity as they use similar
characters
Also each method of promotion conveys themes of the genre to
the audience therefore giving across mystery and tension which
shows they’re all part of the same promotional package thus
developing the brand identity further.
3. Mise-en-scene
The mise-en-scene of each of the products is the same
in each as they convey casual and everyday people who
are related to that specific genre.
The settings are all very similar as well as it’s set it
everyday, though often eerie, this can also be reflected
in the poster and magazine.
4. Font
I have consistently kept similar fonts throughout my
production so that its recognisable and familiar
throughout. This helps there to be a clear brand
identity.
5. Colour
The colours that I used on the ancillary tasks are very
similar to one another as they both light colours that
contrast with the darker background that they lie on.
I used black, red, yellow and white often onto a darkblack background. This does contrast well and it
creates and relates to the brand identity.
6. Layout
The layout of these ancillary tasks also develops the
brand identity by specifying which type of audience
I’m aiming for this therefore makes the brand identity
conventional. As both of my ancillary tasks have an
ordered layout and well and its full of content too.
They both use the conventions of each form and its
targets the audience in that way. It is visually pleasing
and easy to loom at, and it ensures that it that is
appealing to the audience.
7. Images
The images used also aid towards the brand identity
development due to them being characters that
feature in the trailer, as well as making sure that each
character is represented in the same way.
8. Summary
To sum up, I have effectively developed a brand
identity across my film poster, trailer and magazine
cover through the use of character representation,
font, colour use and the specific ways in which I target
audience, such as through the use of conventional
themes like tension and fear.
