Experience
Head of Information Technology - KWS Services North America – 2014-2015
• Assumed new role as part of the leadership team when administrative functions of Betaseed split into separate
shared services organization.
• Effectively led all IT functions supporting all North American subsidiaries of KWS SAAT, a leader in the global
agriculture industry, with facilities involved in administration, research and development, and manufacturing.
• Managed a project to merge legacy Active Directory with parent company AD.
• Member of multifunctional team to migrate ERP system from IFS to SAP. This project unified business systems
with parent company to provide easier collaboration and transparency.
• Member of leadership committee for site selection and construction of new corporate headquarters. Project
finished on time and on budget. All employees moved to new facility with a total of 2 hours’ downtime.
• Responsible for IT infrastructure portion of 40-million-dollar manufacturing plant expansion. Entire plant was
replaced in phases while production continued. All IT systems replaced and new manufacturing control software
implemented with no production downtime.
• Assumed interim supervisory duties for IT function at parent company's subsidiaries in Chile, Argentina, and
Brazil, adding responsibility for 8 locations and 225 users in remote areas of these countries. Worked as part of a
team that upgraded systems that were out of date and insecure to company standards and connected offices in
rural areas to wide area network despite significant local infrastructure challenges.

Information Technology Manager - Betaseed Inc. 2004–2014
• Joined the company as it embarked on a growth strategy to transform from a small to a medium sized company
with 88% market penetration. Led the implementation of enterprise grade information systems to support the
growth.
• Managed implementation and administration of IFS ERP system, which enabled the company to manage its
growth efficiently through better access to information, easier collaboration, and decision support.
• Managed IT infrastructure to accommodate growth and installed enterprise level systems to support the
growing organization, without increasing the headcount of the IT staff.
• Brought second largest office with 75 users back online 4 days after office was destroyed by fire with no loss of
data and assisted with project to build replacement office. I.T. portion of the project was completed on time and
under budget.
• Major projects completed:
o Two major upgrades of the IFS ERP system.
o Development and deployment of a sales force automation system that allowed the company to reduce
the time to process an order by 85%
o Project manager for 20+ software development projects, most of which automated processes that were
manual and increased the transparency and visibility of data so that users in different geographic areas
could work together more efficiently.
o Replacement of the shop floor control software that is used to control the factory, increasing visibility of
data for better decision support.
o Multiple projects to collect and move data to users working in the field in rural areas conducting
agricultural research.
Information Technology Manager - Arden Kitchens, Inc. – 2002-2004
• Solely responsible for all IT functions, infrastructure, servers, and manufacturing control support for small food
manufacturing company.
• Successfully modernized IT infrastructure that had not been updated in 5 years, while reducing overall budget by
