PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Rexel Holdings USA, Dallas, Tx Dec 2012 – Present
IT Manager – Supply Chain Network Optimization
As the IT Client lead for Rexel’s Distribution Center (DC) Network Optimization team I was responsible for providing or
facilitating all IT needs required in optimizing a DC:
• Led the IT effort to support the business Distribution Center Optimization for 9 DC’s between Sept 2013 and Feb 2015.
Implemented a detailed, repeatable checklist that could be used to configure users, branches, and DC’s for each
optimization. The company realized Real Estate savings of $1.487mill and $1.253mill in space as the result of
mothballing.
• Successfully managed and led a project to build a ‘real time’ Sales Order Entry Process between a legacy ERP system to
the company’s future ERP system (Solar Eclipse). This effort allowed locations on the legacy system to be serviced by
Optimized Hubs on the future ERP. Legacy locations we’re able to drive down inventory by leveraging overnight
delivery to the branch or end customer. Over $10mill in sales, and 13k line shipments from the hubs where managed
through this process. Implemented 16 branches on the interface serviced by 3 DC’s.
• Successfully led the effort to design, implement and drive adoption of a process allowing branches on either the legacy
ERP or future ERP to source material between platforms. This was a key business practice on the legacy ERP that
allowed branches to meet customer needs without backordering material through the DC’s. As of January 2015, over 450
Sales orders totaling over $1.5mill were handled through this process.
IT Project Manager – Business Transformation May 2010 – Nov 2012
Responsible for being the Project Manager in the roll out Solar Eclipse as the new ERP system for Rexel inc. replacing 6 legacy
systems. This involved a multi wave approach of 15 – 20 branches per wave, ultimately migrating 200 Rexel Inc. Branches and
DC’s. The scope included the ERP, new peripheral devices, laptops, printers, network upgrades, SOP creation, and training:
• Migrated 17 New England Branches and 2 DC’s to Solar Eclipse in April 2011 managing a $2mill budget. Delivered
project on time, within scope and $200k under budget. Post conversion metrics showed region sales up 13.3% per
employee, a margin increase of 8.8% per employee, a slight increase in inventory turns, and no impact to on time
delivery..
• Migrated 15 Florida and South East Branches, and 2 DC’s to Solar Eclipse in Feb 2012, managing a $4mill budget.
Delivered the project on time, within scope, and 3% under budget. Post conversion metrics similar to above.
• Successfully led a project to integrate WMS PathGuide into Solar Eclipse in a first step to make PathGuide our
Warehouse Management System of choice in DC’s. The integration allowed standard operating procedures to be
developed for Warehouse Operations and resulted in 10% headcount reduction in each DC using WMS.
Database Services Manager May 2009 – Apr 2010
As the Database services Manager I was asked to take over a disparate group of resources and databases, evaluate and improve
support processes, establish standard operational metrics, bring supported databases to the current release. Databases include
Oracle, MS SQL, and Universe.
• Standardized multiple ticketing tools into a single solution under the ITIL framework for incidents, requests, and
changes. Allowed the team to collect standard metrics and evaluate for continuous improvement.
• Optimized the DBA Run Support operation by creating and implementing 20 SOP’s and over 30 technical training
documents. Resulted in a 15% improvement in internal productivity allowing the team to expand from a Run Time only
team to a team that had bandwidth to execute projects.
• Updated all Oracle databases to either 10g or 11i depending on the migration path.
• Implemented Oracle OATM as a backup strategy which resulted in a $1.6mill annual savings on backups.
2. • Implemented Oracle Enterprise Manager for Oracle DB monitoring, and standard Unix scripts for the MS SQL databases
which allowed the team to be proactive in finding issues before the business felt the issue.
