Worked with business leadership of a start up organization to create an IT roadmap to support their
objectives of entering into and rapidly scaling serial production.
Led projects to transition two revenue generating applications from the legacy data center of the client’s
prior parent company to the cloud with no disruptions in ongoing operations. Challenges overcome
included:
• Coordinate creation of a robust testing strategy to overcome lack of existing system knowledge
and documentation.

• In 2017 led the IT project portfolio that enabled more than $73 million in value while freeing
up over 176,000 hours of salaried employee time.

• Delivered a new analytics platform that is driving improvements across the organization:
o Reduced material cost $30 million by identifying least cost suppliers and volume

• Led the 12-month accelerated global conversion from Notes to Cloud-based MS Office 365
which improved global employee collaboration, document management, simplification, and

• Delivered an engineering program and portfolio management solution that will reduce launch
penalties by over $3 million per year while reducing over 10,000 annual program management
administrative hours.

have occurred due to malware and ransomware attacks.
• Led the implementation of standard SAP ERP solution across 66 manufacturing locations with
implementation and ongoing support costs benchmarked by SAP as top quartile.
• Created an effective business process governance organization to implement optimized
standard processes globally. Utilized Lean concepts in support of the 370bps margin
improvements.
• Consolidated HR management onto a single SAP HR system, which provides a global view of
all 12,000 salaried employees in support of employee development programs, improving
employee training compliance and identity management.
• Developed IT organizations in China, India, and Brazil that are supporting local businesses
and contributing globally to improve IT responsiveness and optimize IT costs structure.
• Designed tools to ensure timely realization of project benefits based on FMEA based control
plans. Significantly shortened time to benefit from 4 to 6 months to between 6 and 12 weeks.
• Effectively utilized partners for application development and maintenance which provided
flexibility while maintaining IT costs at benchmark levels.
Tenneco Americas CIO / VP Information Technology 1998 – 2002
Accountable for $50 million enterprise budget with a direct staff of 150.
• Achieved $5.2 million savings in operational effectiveness by installing rigorous project
management discipline in a massive SAP project and upgraded the project team. Delivered
all 13 scheduled start-ups on or ahead of schedule reversing the prior track record of missed
deadlines.
• Implemented system development and support processes that led IT staff to achieve top
quartile results for problem resolution, system availability, and on-time delivery of IT-enabled
projects.
• Successfully launched the first B2B after-market supplier site in February 2000.
