2. Our Target Audience
• According to YouGov, Bastille's fanbase is predominantly young
females. We will aim to appeal to a similar target audience as
Bastille because we know that this target audience are inclined to
like this style of music.
3. What Do They Want?
• They are considered an alternative/indie band so their fans like
individuality instead of following trends as mainstream artists do.
This is why our artist is wearing braces to stand out. The young
female audience are, in general, likely to be more attracted to
young males, so our artist and performer will be a young male.
4. Demographics
• Bastille are a more cultured band so they appeal to more
educated and reasonably wealthy people. As I said before, young
females dominate their fanbase. We will appeal to young females
by using a young male performer in our music video and we will
appeal to wealthier people by dressing our performer in smart
clothes, including a shirt and braces.
5. Psychographics
• The majority of Bastille's fanbase have more left wing political
views, based on YouGov's research. This means that it is good to
challenge typical social conventions in our music video. We will do
this by having a very young performer; challenging the idea that
serious relationships only occur amongst older people.
