Using Quizzes Tests and submitting assignments using Turnitin Academic Services
Adding Quizzes/Tests in Blackboard (1) Create your quiz (great for quick self marking wins) Question types - Keep it simple think about what you want students to know - link to Blackboard content/task Now have a go a creating a test in the course
Adding Quizzes/Tests in Blackboard (2) View the results Marking Show additional content (adaptive release)
Mobile compatible quizzes A cut down version of normal quizzes Useful if you want students to do work at home or outside college
Submitting assignments online Blackboard can be used to submit and mark assignments The commonest way to do this is via Turnitin You need to create an assignment for each document you want students to submit. The max file size 40mb but you can compress large files as pdfs if necessary
Using Turntin for Marking Can be use just be used for submission with offline marking Can be used to check for Plagiarism if necessary You can add typed or voice comments You can create quick comments You can create rubrics to quickly mark assignments online

Using quizzes tests in Blackboard and submitting assignments using turnitin

  • 4. Mobile compatible quizzes A cut down version of normal quizzes Useful if you want students to do work at home or outside college
  • 5. Submitting assignments online Blackboard can be used to submit and mark assignments The commonest way to do this is via Turnitin You need to create an assignment for each document you want students to submit. The max file size 40mb but you can compress large files as pdfs if necessary
  • 6. Using Turntin for Marking Can be use just be used for submission with offline marking Can be used to check for Plagiarism if necessary You can add typed or voice comments You can create quick comments You can create rubrics to quickly mark assignments online
