This document summarizes a research study that surveyed undergraduate students at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University about the issues and challenges they face with their final year projects. The study found that 70% of students struggled with selecting a project topic in their desired domain. It also found challenges with developing knowledge about the project, finding relevant references, maintaining research interest, understanding the subject matter, and having enough time. The study utilized surveys of 35 undergraduate IT students to gather data on their experiences. It identified common problems students faced and provided recommendations on how to better support them in the final year project process.

1. INTRODUCTION
Computer based system for daily life application is on of effective way to perform these types
of activities. In this regard many new technologies have been introduced to overcome daily life
problem solving. The famous technologies includes the machine learning, software
engineering, image processing, android application technology and many more [1]. These
methods provides the fast and rapid response to the working ability of the daily life activities.
The technology based learning such as tools for online learning such as Moodle, google class
room and blackboard are most famous methods of the learning. In the regard the problem of
offline learning has been resolve for some time. The online shopping is an effective method for
the time and cost saving. The team project analytics has been studied for the evaluation of
learning management system which is used for the academic purpose. The analyzation provided
for the study of the student groups which actually based on the team and Moodle LMS [7].
Learning management tools are medium of E- Communication for educational institutes. LMS
platform provides ease of usage for up to date content and information sharing. LMS came with
number of features like Data migration, brand integration, collaborative learning, personalized
learning facility, intuitive user interface etc. these tools helps to record and share Administration
activities information, official documentation, reporting daily activities, educational courses
activities and teaching and learning programs content sharing. The concept of the LMS came
from E-learning which actually enhances the capability and availability of the course contents.
These methods enhances the academic networking which actually needed to provide effective
method of communication [2]. The cyber and physical system communication is important
aspect in computing which needed to improve form every aspect of the computer security. The
cybersecurity programs are important for on global level which can be enhanced further for the
educational policies and agendas for the undergraduate and postgraduate level courses. The
government industry and private firms are focusing on the cluster of these type of teaching
course which can enhance the efficiency of the student on professional level [3]. Several
standers are introduced the deficiencies in the education system related to the cyber physical
security. The learning methods and trends are rapidly changing due some uncertain issues in
the world such as in February 2019 COVID – 19 pandemic situation is have been arose. This
was very technical to deal with the daily routine on professional level because of social
distances. The study in [4] focused on the web learning which is also important contribution of
the study is to implement and evaluate the proposed web-based learning paradigm. The
important and crucial factors related to the computer programming are focused for the further
investigation. The exploration of the programing skills is also important for the computer
programmer. Furthermore the undergraduate level students of the computer science are focused
for the study which is important factor due to the basic level of the programing skills. The
technology acceptance model (TAM) is purposed for the better learning the participants can
learn and apply the practical work in lab whereas adding some online aspect can reduced the
efforts [6]. It can enhance the time which provided online learning process and reduced being
physically appeared in class. The fact to face communication and class activities can improve
the teacher and student understanding whereas online aspect provide students facility over
distance which is important in these days. One can easily combine the process of the fact to
face learning and having online features of the information Sharing with some online easy
mechanism [5]. Most of the educational institutes are applying these techniques for better
performance and quality education. Teachers and students are engaging themselves for the
better performance. The educational institutes now promoting online education and lecture
delivery due to the ease of usage. This is due to the remote access with secure and reliable
communication with many user at a time.

2.2. Basics of the Study
Students face many issues, challenges during finalize the project and selection of domain. The
main reason for this real time project is to run and identified issues and challenges at initial
stage. Supervisor already knows about challenges face by students at this time. Aim of this
research suggested appropriate steps for the project at that time. Department can create the
atmosphere and give them task to complete the students and also work on very small projects
of research to help them for the society. These types of projects gives motivation of coming
students and also increase the ability of students.
2.3. Collection of Data
In survey based on casual interviews of students regarding project. This questionnaire based on
three questions these are: (1) I face issues and challenges in selection of project, (2) Project
Title, (3) Project Domain of area. After the interview of students find out the main problem
with solution. Questions are categorized by given values (Agree, Neutral and disagree) shows
in table.

2.4. Research Questions
The study is designed to give answers for the following:
Q1. Writing proposal for undergraduate project is challenging job at very early stage?
Q2. What are the general issues face by students during select the project for undergraduate
thesis?
Q3. How to encourage students to give fully focus on project?
3. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
The results of this study show in below table 2, table 3 and table 4 depends on three research
questions and responses. The responses got from participants, who participate in this research.
Table 2 Research Question 1
Q1. Writing proposal for undergraduate project is challenging job at very early stage?
Agree Neutral Disagree
14 10 11
Table 2 shows the result of question1 responded by students. To result comes from above
question agree of fourteen-14 students, neutral of ten-10 students, disagree of eleven-11
students. These results based on undergraduate student responses.
Table 3 Research Question 2
Q2. What are the general issues face by students during select the project for undergraduate
thesis?
Agree Neutral Disagree
11 9 15
Table 3 describe the result of question2 responded by students. To result comes from above
question agree of Eleven-11 students, neutral of Nine-09 students, disagree of fifteen-15
students. These results based on undergraduate student responses.
Table 4 Research Question 3
Q3. How to encourage students to give fully focus on project?
Agree Neutral Disagree
5 4 26
Table 4 shows the result of question3 responded by students. To result comes from above
question agree of five-05 students, neutral of four-04 students, disagree of twenty six-26
students. These results based on undergraduate student responses.
Results of this research based on undergraduate students department of Information
Technology, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto university of Shaheed Benazir Abad. These result shows
the some students have lack of interest regarding final year projects. They were trying to find
out the way to reach the goal without doing any too much struggle. Overall the result of agree
from all questions (Thirty only- 30), overall the result of neutral from all questions (Twenty
Three-23) and overall the result of disagree from all questions (Fifty Two -52) of undergraduate
students. Those results are very helpful for the future purpose to develop the final year project
and how to improve the steps to conduct the research on the undergraduate level.

4. CONCLUSION AND FUTURE WORK
This study based on students opinions regarding final year project. That has been found issues
at initial level face by undergraduate students during selection of project and proposal writing.
Interview conduct from final year students (35). The interview based on three major questions
and these questions categorized responses as: agree, neutral and disagree. The highest number
of overall responses comes as disagree. At the result from study showed that around 70% of the
students faced issue in selection project in different domain. 50% of students take suggestions
of senior student to help them in selection process. Issues and challenges just like: Selection of
project, lack of good knowledge about project, lack of ability to find related references, lack of
research interest, lack understanding of the subject matter, lack of time. Future work of this
study is based on student’s point of view. They have little bit need of time to must clear step
first what they perform or not.
5. SUGGESTION AND RECOMMENDATION
1. To teach the students about final year project.
2. To provide the proper platform for students to practice them.
3. To learn about the requirements of the final year project.
4. To provide the detail chart of steps what should they perform sequentially?
