2. FADE IN:
Initially begins with a low close up of the sliding
doors opening, as the wheelchair gets wheeled into
the hospital, then another close up from behind the
wheelchair as it gets wheeled in, alongside with the
sliding doors closing.
Mid-shot of the nurse at her desk looking up to see
who’s coming in.
Nurse:
I wasn’t expecting you so soon.
person who’s pushing
the wheelchair:
Well she keeps having those
nightmares again.
Nurse:
Don’t worry, I’ll get her into a
room straight away.
DISSOLVES INTO NEXT
SCENE
Long-Shot of a long hallway with the nurse pushing
the wheelchair.
Cuts to close ups of the girl being strapped with
hospital wires on her arms, etc.
Close up of the nurse in the doorframe before she
leaves.
Nurse:
You’ll be safe here, i promise.
The door then shuts and the scene cuts to the nurse
back at her desk talking on the phone.
Nurse:
Looks like I’m doing an all night-
shift again tonight, tell the boy’s
that mommy will be home soon, love
you.
As the nurse says this, the camera does close ups,
and pans across the nurse’s office, over things such

3. as picture frames, and things that might be personal
to this nurse.
Once she hangs up the phone the nurse gets back to
writing on a piece of paper.
Close-up as she writes. She then starts to hear the
sound of scratching on the walls which start quiet
and gradually gets louder.
The nurse then stops writing, with close ups of her
facial expressions as she looks up.
She shrugs it of then goes back to writing on the
piece of paper. Then there’s sounds of dripping
water, mixed with footsteps, etc.
Close-ups of the nurse looking up again.
Goes back to a mid-shot of the nurse getting out of
her chair, and walking towards the door.
Cuts to a long-shot of the long hallway, with sounds
of heavy breathing. The sound of the breathing gets
slightly louder as the nurse gets closer to ‘the
girl’s’ door.
Close up of the nurse’s feet as she walks down the
hallway.
Close up of the nurse by the door. The nurse then
leans into the door to try and hear the breathing,
the sound of the breathing and music intensifies and
gets louder, as the nurse is slowly leaning it, then
it suddenly stops. Everything is silent for a
moment. Close up of the nurse’s facial expression as
she opens the door.
CUTS TO
Handheld shot of panning around an empty and dark
room.
Close up of the nurse’s facial expression, as a pale
hand slowly creeps up behind her shoulder.
Wide shot in the hallway as the nurse turns around
to see that no one is there, she then turns back to
walk back to her office.
Close up of the nurse’s foot as she stops, when she
starts hearing a strange sound of heavy breathing.
The camera then goes up along her body and to a
close up of her face as she begins to turn around.

4. Close up of the nurse’s facial expression, then it
goes back to a mid-shot of the girl standing in the
hallway once again, then back to a close up of the
nurse.
Tracking shot of the girl as she is now charging
towards the nurse.
Final close up of the nurse screaming.
Goes to the title screen. ‘The Entity’.
