3. Research
For my research I used the internet on my computer to carry it out. For my research I
looked at multiple games like mine to see what makes them as good as they are but
also to see what their weaknesses are so I can avoid making similar mistakes and also
so I can see what other games are missing so I can implement these things into my
game to make it unique and different from others in the genre.
My researched helped my product because I was able to identify what other games
are missing so I can implement these things into my own product to make it better and
different than others.
In order to improve my research I can look into more games of the genre and also look
at what the people who have played them have to say so I can gain an understanding
of what the people who play these games want. The effect this would have on my
product is it would result in my game being higher quality and more enjoyable for
players.
4. Planning
When planning for my final product I looked at many different football games
so I could see how they play in terms of speed, difficulty, controls amongst
many other things. This was a strength of my planning as it helped me to see
what I wanted for my own game and how I wanted it too look and play. My
planning helped my product as I was able to identify what makes other games
good so that I can implement these strengths into my own game in order to
make the final product itself better.
5. Time Management
I feel like used my time on this project well as I finished the project on time
sticking to the schedule that I had made in my pre production. I followed this
day by day schedule to make sure that I stayed on time for this project.
If I has more time to work on this project I believe that it would have resulted
in my final piece of work being higher quality.
6. Technical Qualities
Both games are 8
bit games.
This game has more detailed
graphics with the players, pitch
and other surrounding looking
better than my own game
Both games only
include two characters,
the player themselves
and the opposition
The style of the
characters from both
games are very
similair
7. Aesthetic Qualities
For my characters I
made put them in
brightly coloured
kits so that they
would look eye
catching to the
person playing the
game. I also did this
to make the game
as a whole more
aesthetically
pleasing.
For the game as a
whole I wanted to
use bright colours
throughout because I
wanted the game to
be eye catching and
unique to other
football games on the
market. To do this I
used bright blue and
yellow to make up
the back ground and
bright orange and
yellow for the players
kits.
In my opinion my game looks good but
perhaps lack certain details which would
make it look much better. For example I
think the colours used make the game
look vibrant and appealing to they eye.
8. My product will appeal to
my target audience
because my target
audience is football fans
and as it is a football game
they should be attracted.
My game is bright in
colour which attracts
the younger teenagers
which I am trying to
appeal to with my
game.

14. Peer Feedback Summary
Based upon my feedback there are some changes I would make to the game. Firstly I
would make the game longer. I couldn’t do this originally due to time. However if I were
to have more time to work on the game I would have made it longer. Another change I
would make based upon feedback is I would make the game itself more complex. I
would have done this originally but as I couldn’t as I had to finish the game as quick as
possible.
