I have just finalised a project with Austin engineering site services / Hitachi mining support on First
Quantum’s Kansanshi Copper / Gold mine at Solwezi, Zambia on a rotational roster. I have obtained
my AICIP Certification in Dec 2011 and my no is 456. I have 15 years’ experience in NDT and
inspections with the last 3 and a half having my AICIP and previous vessel inspection experience. I
believe in hard work and keeping the client satisfied with good work ethics. I have a good reputation
with my employers and clients.

NDT inspector
In this role I am responsible for the inspection of Hitachi equipment as it arrives into the workshop
through to the frame upgrades and inspection of all new welding repairs & upgrades for dimensional
compliance with specified drawings plus the NDT on completed welds.
Compiling reports to the client and liaising with welding supervisors, Welders and providing feedback
to assist in the ongoing improvement of the project.

NDT Inspector with AICIP
NDT inspector at South 32 Worsley Alumina Refinery in Collie, Western Australia. Even though
aspiring to obtain a permanent AICIP plant inspector position, I took this role to be closer to my family
in Collie and no current AICIP Plant inspector position was available. I am working towards being
appointed as one of the plant inspectors. My current duties include NDT and inspections on all
refinery vessels and equipment. Being the only team member on site previously with Applus RTD, I
am an integral team member that the site manager relies on.
Reason for leaving position: Better opportunity arrived.

NDT Inspector and AUT operator –Chevron Gorgon Gas Project Barrow Island
In this role I was operating as an AUT operator and scanning technician utilising CB&I Microplus 2
systems. Duties included carrying out calibrations and frame set ups for each level that was scanned.
General visual inspection, surface NDT methods and PAMI on all associated 65% nickel welding to
9% nickel plates.
This role also provided me with an opportunity and experience to work on a major construction project
site and experience life with a FIFO roster.
Reason for leaving position: Personal and family reasons moving back to Collie.

Ad hoc NDT and visual inspection work from the Perth head office travelling to
various sites. This role was a transitional role prior to mobilising up to Gorgon Gas
Project. Duties included Visual inspections and NDT methods and gave me the
opportunity to deal with a wide range of clients.

General inspection tasks
As the site NDT inspector and NDT coordinator I was responsible for the day to day duties of
allocating technicians to different tasks. I assisted the Site manager with admin duties. Carried out
NDT inspections. Carry out vessel inspections together with and under the guidance of the lead plant
inspector and site manager. I attended weekly planning meetings with the site manager for the NDT
planning and allocation of work. During my last 4 months in this role I obtained my AICIP certification
and continued to carry out inspections with the lead plant inspector. This role enabled me to
communicate with the client in a more professional manner than a normal NDT position.

NDT inspector and rail tester- Maryborough, Queensland
NDT inspections utilising the following methods, UT, MT and PT.
Visual and NDT inspections of major railway corridors, Branch lines and associated
infrastructure throughout the Brisbane to Gladstone area.
Carrying out rail testing.
My role was to provide yearly/monthly routine monitoring of rail and welds in addition to the testing of
new welding work and repairs. In this role I had to communicate with the various track section
supervisors, Train controllers and welding supervisors utilising excellent time management and work
planning.
