This paper deals with the Islamic Jurisprudence view on the interest on loans through the explanation of the rule, “Any loan that draws profit/interest is usury”, and by indicating that any “profit”, significant or less-significant, whatever, is banned and considered prohibited usury if conditioned or agreed when taking a loan. Otherwise, this “profit” or “bonus” is urged in Islam when it takes the form of an honorarium for the favor done.

Abstract
This paper deals with the Islamic Jurisprudence view on the interest on
loans through the explanation of the rule, “Any loan that draws
profit/interest is usury”, and by indicating that any “profit”, significant or
less-significant, whatever, is banned and considered prohibited usury if
conditioned or agreed when taking a loan. Otherwise, this “profit” or
“bonus” is urged in Islam when it takes the form of an honorarium for the
favor done.
