1. Star Wars has partnered up
with these brands to draw
more peoples attention to
the film. They wanted
people to walk into a shop
or a supermarket and to see
Star Wars. They wanted
people to never forget that
Star Wars is coming out.
They have partnered up
with Toys R Us and
McDonalds to try and get
children involved in the
build up to Star Wars. They
have used a variety of
brands to try and get
everyone involved and to try
and widen there audience.

2. The Star Wars cast went all around to promote there movie.
They visited New York, Los Angeles, London, Hong Kong and
Sydney. Every single character was there from Kylo Ren to
BB8. Big movies like this one go around the world to
advertise there movie so more people want to see it and
more people will get excited about it.
They even invited some of the royals
along because if people are fans of the
royals, they will want to watch the film
because the royals have. By having them
there, it will bring more people to the
crowd so more people will buy tickets to
the premiere. Every thing this day and
age is all about making more money,
anyway they can.

3. They create
posters of the
characters by
them selves to
give the fans
reassurance
that there
favorite
character is in
the film. They
also do this to
create
suspense and
make the
waiting game
even harder
for the fans,
because once
they see a
teaser poster
they start to
get excited.
When they
make the Star
Wars posters
they normally
include the
characters
special weapon
to show the
fans they will
be involved in
all the action.
The official
Star Wars
poster is in the
middle of the
page, it
involves all the
old characters
and all the new
characters, this
got the fans
heart beat
pumping
when they first
seen it. It also
shows new
characters who
people aren't
familiar with,
so this will add
to the
suspense. It
will always
have the good
side and the
bad side to
show new and
old characters.
They size the
people in order
of power in the
film, to show
who is more
important.

4. Obviously Star Wars will have a large fan base because
Disney bought it off Lucas for 4.05 billion dollars, and
Disney have millions of fans. They also made games for
people to buy and play on Xbox and Play Station. This will
create a larger audience for them because most teenagers
and some adults have an Xbox and Play Station so this will
draw more people in. It also paired up with Lego to create
different play sets which children will love and then if they
love the toys they will want to watch the movie, so it
promoting the film.

5. All of the cast was making TV
appearances and doing interviews on
talk shows to promote the film. They
don’t go on small shows they only go on
large scale talk shows to get a wider
audience listening and tuning in to
watch them. Most films do this because
it will inform more people that the film
is coming out. Sometimes the cast bring
along an exclusive video for the viewers
to watch, to try and entice the audience.

6. Star Wars The Force Awakens was released 17th December 2017, it has
become one of the top 5 highest grossing films of all time. However, the
cast started to make TV appearances about 4 month before the film was
released. They did this to promote there film and draw peoples attention
to the film. They even created a website called StarWars.com and they
released different things each week and month such as exclusive videos
and photos. On the website you could purchase merchandise such as,
hoodies, t shirts, socks, mugs and accessories.
They toured the
world to premier the
film and they started
to make public
appearances to tell
the public and fans
how good the film is.
The world premier
happened about a
month before the
film came out to
create suspense.

7. Star Wars The Force Awakens wound up its
domestic run with a record setting $936.7 million
and $2.07 billion worldwide. The budget for the
film was $303 million so it made quite a lot of
profit.
People who reviewed the film and spoke out about it said it was the greatest
one they have ever made. Most people were saying that it was a great film to
come back to the franchise with. However, people where disagreeing with
them because they were saying that they should never of made another film
because they ended it really well last time. People were also saying that they
have spoiled the whole franchise by making another film.
