For question 1 my results show that the majority of people
who answered my questionnaire were female. This could
mean that mainly females will read my magazine.
2. In question 2, my results show that most people think the
word ‘Unique’ and ‘Individual’ are words that associated
with Indie. From these results I will definitely use these
words in my indie music magazine.

My results from question 3 have a variety of answers. The three
most popular colours were maroon, green and blue, because these
are the most favourite colours I will consider incorporate them into
my magazine so that that people would be attracted to my

For question 4 I asked the audience what three colours they would
associate with Indie. The four most chosen answers
were, maroon, blue, green and brown. Due to these being the most
popular associated colours I will definitely use maroon in my magazine and
will consider using the other 3 colours.

For question 5, I asked ‘Who is your favourite Indie band?’ I received a
variety of answers, but the most liked band turned out to be The Arctic
Monkeys. I will be using The Artic Monkeys as a part of one of my
coverlines because they are popular and well known for indie music, as
well as being well liked.

My results for question 6 show many things that people like to see in
magazines. The majority of people said that they would like to see interviews
and reviews, but other answers included gossip, band stories and concert
dates. In my magazine it will definitely include interviews, reviews and concert
dates and I will also consider incorporating gossip and band stories into my
magazine.

7. In question 7 the results show that the majority of my audience said that
they buy their music magazines monthly. This question and the next
question will also help me decide how often my magazine will go on
sale.
Question 8 tells me how often the public would want my magazine on
sale. The results show an equal amount for selling my magazine monthly
and fortnightly so I have decided to make my magazine fortnightly.

uniqueness and colours of an indie magazine, I will interpret

they do not like about the design of magazines. The most chosen
answer was that they did not like the magazine covers having too
much text on them and being overcrowded. I will incorporate this
into my magazine by not making it too packed, but I will also not
make it empty.

Interviews Reviews
In question 12, I gave the audience a choice of what they
preferred. The two choices were interviews and reviews. The
most popular answer was interviews which 13/20 people chose.
Looking at these results I will definitely put more interviews in the
magazine than reviews as interviews are most popular.
