Conclusions to the audience research

  1. 1. Audience Research – Results and ConclusionsAfter I tallied my results up I decide to draw a conclusion for each question asked within the questionnaire, here I will explain how these results will influence my decisions that I’m going to make on my new magazine.Question One: Gender-Female- 8Male – 12These results clarify that more males answered the questionnaire on classical music so therefore I will keepthis in consideration when looking at my feature articles, fonts, background and images around the magazine. This is because if more males are interested in the magazine then it suggests it should be more maleorientated for example, featuring a male artist they could relate to.Question Two: Age - Age 20 10 0 15-16 16-18 19-24 25+As you can see the questionnaire was based on the answers of 20 different people, the majority is betweenthe 19-24 category which is shortly followed by the 16-18 with the anomalies of 25+ and 15-16. This meansthat I will aim to provide entertainment for all ages in the magazine but primarily this means that whenproducing my magazine I will focus on that age group for my target market. For instance, I will make morearticles appealing to that age group.Question Three: How often do you buy a magazine? How often do you buy a magazine? Daily Weekly Monthly 10% 25% 65%When analysing this question it’s apparent more people buy monthly magazines. This result finalises mydecision to produce a monthly magazine because it would be more likely to be bought as the majority buy amagazine monthly.

I could do this buy choosing artist who play the piano as part ofthe classical music genre.Question Seven: Do you think that a Piano is most associated with classical music?Yes – 18No – 2This shows that the large majority say the piano is most associated with classical music, this means that whenfeaturing artists I will decide to focus on maybe solo artists who play piano.Question Eight: What is your favourite colour? This would mean that I would use clear fonts, make it easy to read and stay low on theinformation present on the front cover,Question Ten: Out of these who is your favourite Classical Musician/Artist/Band? Which classical musician do you prefer? 14 12 10 8 6 4 2 0These results show that more people prefer the musician ‘Katherine Jenkins’ compared to any other onesuggested.
