Technology: Advantages
All learning styles are met when students
and machines integrate (Wiles & Bond, 2011).
Students can use computers and other electronic
devices to gather information and formulate ideas.
Communication is strengthened with use of online
sites such as classroom portals, email and digital
textbooks.
5. Technology: Disadvantages
1. Funding is wasted when certain devices such as
the Smart Board are not utilized by teachers
and/or students.
2. Students are distracted by cell phone usage and
social media outlets.
3. Technology is expensive and may not be
available to all school districts.
4. Students lose academic strategies and social
skills with technology.
6. Conclusion
The learning process is changing as new
technological innovations are being introduced
and utilized in the classroom.
