COP 27 - Egypt
3. 1. Youth Love Egypt (YLE) is one of the foremost NGOs in Egypt with the mandate for
environmental protection and climate justice for Africa.
2. This document outlines strategies that YLE and Africa CSOs have taken and will take in
the coming period to adequately prepare and participate meaningfully in the next two
UN Climate Change conferences.
3. We championed some waste management and clean-up projects in major cities and
tree planting initiatives that has resulted in the planting of 100,000 tress covering several
hectares.
4. It is currently conducting climate change step down courses with faith based
organizations and youth groups on environmental awareness and curriculum
standardization in tertiary institutions.
5. Our latest activity we planted 1,000 fruitful olive,
pomegranate and berry trees in
Qanater Charity Gardens, which was carried out by
"Youth Love Egypt" Foundation, and in cooperation
with the German ThyssenKrupp Foundation
concerned with adapting to climate changes.

The work of the program will begin with the
establishment of the first quality network of
NGOs in Egypt working on environmental
and social justice, climate justice. This will

11. Environmental Training Program for Youth and
Girls Age 18-35 Years in Egyptian Universities
Capacity building training program is developed for local and national
CSOs on environmental and climate change issues for national
development and protection of the environment.
