1. What have you learned from
your audience feedback?
Evaluation Question 3
2. Who I Asked
I asked Ella Drake and Buddy Webber, as I
know that they both like the genre that I did
the music video for. I showed them my ancillary
texts and they both commented about them.
Ella Drake, 18, commented about the texts:
“The three of them link really well. The images
connected across, such as the band, through
each text. I liked all of it really, I thought it was
a really good video, and it fit with the narrative
of the song.”
Buddy Webber, also 18, commented:
“I think they met the genre really well. I think
the video was edited really well. The digipack
had a good design to it, and the texts would fit
in places like HMV. I recognise the branding
from the video on the front cover of the
digipack.”
3. What I Asked
How well do the texts fit together?
Can you see a good relation of branding across the three
texts?
Would you see the advert and digipack in places like
HMV?
5. What I Have Learned
I have learned that the right target audience thinks that
my ancillary texts would fit very well in places such as
HMV, and the three of them put the branding of the band
across very well too. I learnt this through my target
audience feedback from the two people I questioned. I
thought it would be good to ask them about it as I know
that they like that genre of music, so asking them the
questions was easier than asking someone who didn’t
like that kind of music, as they would have immediately
said negative things about it.
