2. The CARLOS P. GARCIA SHS (formerly SHS within CP Garcia ES) is the Stand-Alone SHS in the
Division of Davao City.
• The CPGSHS - NIGHT HIGH SCHOOL is commonly known then as Late Afternoon Senior
High School (LASHS)
• It started in 2017 to provide continuing SHS education to the JHS completers of the
Modified Work Study Program (MWSP), a special Literacy Program of the City of Davao for
Working Students, Balik-Aral Students, PEPT, ALS-BPOSA passers and those who experience
teen pregnancy.
• Today, the CPGSHS-NHS continue delivering quality education, from only FOUR (4)
CLASSES in 2017 to SIXTEEN (16) CLASSES today for its identified 1,057 learners with its
competent teaching force and staff.

Percent increase is more than a 100%, with a notable increase of 216% during the pandemic.
