Analysis of Audience Research 
The first question in my survey is 
unclear to me when I look at the 
responses, because most people put 
‘other’ and didn’t specify what genre 
they prefer, but the same amount of 
people prefer Action as they do Horror, 
this makes it easy for me to plan a film 
with my group because now I know for 
certain what people would watch. 
So by creating this survey, we know how 
to maximise the popularity of the film by 
including what people like to watch. 
The feedback from this question is not 
really helpful, but if we know what 3 
films people love, we can strive to make a 
similar film if it is a horror genre seems 
that is the genre that our group chose. 
The results came back as a surprise on 
this question bearing in mind that 60% 
of the first questions responses I am 
unaware on what genre people prefer, 
the films listed on the left fit into 
multiple different genres, so this implies 
that our audience prefers multiple 
genres.
Half of the responses from this question are unclear and do not help me in my 
research whatsoever because they are either immature answers, or unexplained 
so I do not know what they 
mean by ‘I like the directors 
movies’ this is not enough to 
greatly help me in my 
audience research because I 
cannot relate our groups 
film to an answer to 
increase the popularity of 
the video If the answer is 
unexplained or answered 
incorrectly. 
The responses to this question help 
us a great deal because this tells us 
what rating films our audience 
watches and what they prefer, this is 
important because this will 
determine what rating we should 
make our film depending on what 
our audience prefers to watch. 
Although the survey only got 4 
responses, this is just about enough 
to influence what we include in the 
movie to please our audience.
