1. Risk Assessment
Risk Chance of it
happening
How to prevent it What to do if it
happens
Car accidents whilst
travelling
Not very likely Make sure that we are
travelling with
experience drivers
Call 999 services such as an
ambulance or wait for other
people to do so
Being cut or bruised
whilst smashing
objects
Quite likely Make sure that we are
careful and through
objects away from us and
wear thick clothing to
prevent cuts
Make sure that we take the
proper first aid equipment
such as plasters or if more
serious call a ambulance or
have someone nearby to help
Handling of knives
could cause cuts and
other injuries
Moderate Make sure that we
handle the knives
carefully and don’t touch
the edges and only hold
the handle also make
sure that we don’t throw
them or hold them
wrong
Make sure that first aid is on
hand such as plasters or
bandages and in more
serious scenarios call an
ambulance.
Video Camera
Battery Running Out
Likely Make sure that we fully
charge the battery before
we leave to go film.
Take extra batteries or go
home and recharge and
schedule for another time
and date.
Actors not turning
up
Moderate Make sure that
everybody knows when
and where to go and if
possible all turn up at
once so that we know
that people will be there
or find backup actors
who can be there.
Make sure that the contact
information of these people
have been noted to call them
or go to their houses and
check if they are in to remind
them that they have to be
there.
Actors getting too
cold/too warm
Very Likely Make sure that we take
coats and warm clothing
with us.
Make sure that we get out of
bad weather conditions if the
proper clothing isn’t brought
to avoid getting hypothermia.
Actors becoming ill
or injured before
filming
Moderate Make sure that proper
hygiene rules are
followed and that the
actors are safe
Make sure that back up
actors are made to fill their
places quickly or wait for the
actors to get better with the
use of medicine and re-
schedule shooting times.
Film being lost
through deletion or
corruption
Moderate Make sure that data is
backed up in multiple
areas and that nobody
deletes the data
Get back up film or go back
and re-schedule a time to go
and re film the missing parts.
2. Actors getting in
trouble from being
on private land or
doing dangerous
things in the
presence of others
Moderate Make sure that the areas
we are in aren’t privately
owned and that they are
open to the public.
Anything that may be
dangerous should also be
done on our own
property or a large
empty property that is
secluded from the public.
Make sure that the college
can inform these authorities
that the actions that the
actors have done are solely
due to project purposes and
aren’t done to harm other
people or possessions.
