The process of placing classified data into tabular form is
known as tabulation.
A table is a symmetric arrangement of statistical data in rows
and columns.
Rows are horizontal arrangements whereas columns are
vertical arrangements.

6. Methods of Tabulation
Simple tabulation:
Simple tabulation also known as one-way table.
Simple tabulation is when the data are tabulated to one
characteristic. (Tabulated data contain only one character).
For example: the survey that determined the number of
employees of a company using different brands of mobile
phones like Blackberry, Nokia, I phone, etc.

8. Double tabulation:
Double tabulation also known as two-way table.
Double tabulation is when two characteristics of data
are tabulated.
