Heart is a muscular organ that
lies in the ribcage. It supplies
blood to the whole body.
Blood delivers oxygen to all
the body cells to stay alive.
We need healthy living cells.
Oxygen plays a vital role for
activities of these cells

3. POSITION OF THE HEART
The heart is located in the ribcage between the two lungs
and it has a slight impact on the size of the left lung

4. Parts of the heart
the heart has 4 chambers
▪ Auricles
▪ These are the upper two
chambers of the heart
▪ Receive the blood returning to
the heart
▪ Ventricles
▪ These are the lower two
chambers of the heart
▪ They pump the blood into the
blood vessels that lead the blood
to all the organs
