2. New technology When starting this media project, I was introduced to lots of new technology that I would be using and several new websites too.
3. The imac The computers we use in media are imacs. These provide us with several applications that help us create our thriller. They are very different to normal computers and took some time to get used to.
4. On the imac On the imac we were able to use several different applications to develop out thriller. We used Garage Band to create Music for our thriller. However we couldn't use the music due to some technical difficulties. We used Live Type to create the ident for our film We Used Final Cut Express to put together our whole thriller Film. This we very hard and confusing to work at first. But after a bit of practise I know find it quite easy to use
5. Cameras We used still cameras to take photos of our brain storms & story boards, to create animatics. These are simple to use so there were no problems Video camera is quite essential in the making of our thriller film. We used it to film out preliminary task, vox pops, and to film the footage of our film. We also need to cameras to upload the footage from the tape to the computer.
6. Tripod Throughout our thriller we used a tripod to ensure that the footage we filmed was steady and clear. The only time we didn't use a tripod was when we was doing a point of view shot.
7. Blogger had helped me record my progress of making my thriller. It has helped me show my understanding of the genre and keep up to date of things that I have learnt during lessons. I quite enjoy posting blog post as it is similar to being on facebook.
8. Other Websites Whilst making my thriller there have been a number of websites that I have used;I have used facebook to share my survey so more people will take itI used surveymonkey to create a survey to research my audience I have used mobgratis to find music to use in my thriller film I have used youtube to publish my finished pieces, such as storyboard animatics, preliminary exercise, ident, vox pop, and my final film.
9. Other websites When evaluating my work I have used other websites such as slideshare and wordle. This is to make displaying information on my blog more interesting.
10. What have I learnt? Whilst making my thriller I have learnt that you need to use several different aspects of technology to achieve a good outcome. All of the technology I used was essential and without it I don't think my thriller would have been at the standard it is at now.
