2. How did you attract and address your
audience?
I used a simple monochromatic (black and white) colour scheme, with some colours (blue and red) to
run through the theme. This kept the appearance gender neutral.
3. How did you attract and address your
audience?
• I altered the brightness and contrast to make the colours and
the light of the image more accentuated and prominent. I
also adjusted the Curves to give the image an alternative
look and hue. These two things combined make the image
brighter, more unique and therefore more noticeable.
• I attracted my audience by listing the genres of music my
magazine covers. As they are interested in and listen to this
music, my audience would be inclined to read my magazine.
• The models I used are within my audience’s age range,
making it attractive to my audience.
4. How did you attract and address your
audience?
■ An alternative-rock album is pictured, attracting my
audience who listen to that genre of music.
■ A unique format is used for the contents, which would
appeal to the members of my audience that are interested
in alternative and new things.
■ Social media icons are used. This would attract my young
audience, as more young people tend to use social media.
■ Clear and easy to read layout enabling my readers to find
what they are looking for.The minimal amount of text
appeals to my readers as it will maintain the typically low
attention spans of younger audiences
■ The style of writing would also help to attract my
audience as the major cover feature is written in a large
font different to the rest of the text and is placed
underneath the corresponding image.
5. How did you attract and address your
audience?
■ Humorous image, would appeal to
younger target audience.
■ “TREMOLO EXCLUSIVE” would attract
readers interested in indie bands as my
magazine is offering an insight
available nowhere else.
■ Text over darker parts of the image is
white to ensure that all text is clear and
that it contrasts so it is always
prominent and therefore noticeable.
■ “Money? Power? Fame?” title poses a
question/concept that people
interested in the music industry or the
band on a personal level would be
interested in.
■ Quote attracts people interested in the
band on a personal level.
• Young male models match my target audience.
• Plain clothing links to target audience’s normality.
• Band mentions musicians and bands my audience would also
likely listen to and enjoy.
