Lesson plan 1
Topic: Colors and objects
Objectives:
 Students will identify colours
 Students will be able to recognize objects
 Students will recognize verbs.
 Students will be able to describe objects and answer questions about
them.
 Students will be able to follow instructions
Routine: We will be following the routine ‘’How do you feel today?’’ that
our mentor teacher uses every class before starting with the lesson. 3’
Breathing exercise before starting the lesson.2’

Materials needed for the lesson:
 “Mysterious Bag’’ with the objects
 Flashcards of the eight objects
 Words of the colours (divided in the middle)
 Carboard with the colours
 Pieces of paper with verbs
Warm up: For the warm up, after we have done the breathing exercises, we
will present some colours (Red, yellow, brown, orange, blue, green, pink and
white) that would be written in a poster together with the colours themselves,
so that students can learn the spelling and the pronunciation of each colour
that would be guided by the teacher saying the colours. This is an example of
how the colours would be displayed in the poster: 5’

First activity:
We will bring with us a “Mysterious Bag’’ with different objects of different
colours. We will take out the objects one by one asking to the class “What’s this?”
and then “What colour is it?” We will put each object on a desk so that everyone
can see it. While we are showing the object, we will point to the written word of
the colour that would be displayed in the poster. 5’
Objects:
 A red apple
 A banana
 A teddy bear
 An orange ball
 A blue cap
 A green leaf
 Pink flowers
 A white paper plane

(Using flashcards of the objects previously presented and flashcards of the
object colors)
For example:

Patterns of interaction: groups of 6/7 students
We will ask students to form 2 groups and we will paste on the whiteboar
d flashcards with the objects that we presented (eight objects). We will give the
m the words divided in the middle. For example:
R ED
BL UE
Students will be formed in lines (at the back of the room) and the one who
is in the front will have to pick a paper, run to the whiteboard and paste it below
the corresponding flashcard. Then, he/she will come back and hi 5 the next
student who will have to complete the word. The group that finishes first is the
winner.
Third activity: 10’ (Performing actions with objects)
The teacher will perform some actions corresponding with some of the
objects that the students learned in the latter activity, and they will have to imitate
the action performed by the teacher (all together from their seats). The actions
will be the following:
Hug the teddy bear
Eat the apple
Fly the plane
Smell the flowers
Wear the cup
In the next step, the teacher will ask students to come to the front (one by
one). They will have to pick up a piece of paper (without seeing) from a bag. The
papers would be of the colors they learned, and they would have the word of the
corresponding verb written on it. The student will read the word and they will
have to perform the action interacting with the real object.

Lesson plan 1 Topic: Colors and objects Objectives:  Students will identify colours  Students will be able to recognize objects  Students will recognize verbs.  Students will be able to describe objects and answer questions about them.  Students will be able to follow instructions Routine: We will be following the routine ‘’How do you feel today?’’ that our mentor teacher uses every class before starting with the lesson. 3’ Breathing exercise before starting the lesson.2’

LESSON PLANS BRETÓN LUCILA ANDDIEGO FRANCISCO 2 Materials needed for the lesson:  “Mysterious Bag’’ with the objects  Flashcards of the eight objects  Words of the colours (divided in the middle)  Carboard with the colours  Pieces of paper with verbs Warm up: For the warm up, after we have done the breathing exercises, we will present some colours (Red, yellow, brown, orange, blue, green, pink and white) that would be written in a poster together with the colours themselves, so that students can learn the spelling and the pronunciation of each colour that would be guided by the teacher saying the colours. This is an example of how the colours would be displayed in the poster: 5’ RED First activity: We will bring with us a “Mysterious Bag’’ with different objects of different colours. We will take out the objects one by one asking to the class “What’s this?” and then “What colour is it?” We will put each object on a desk so that everyone can see it. While we are showing the object, we will point to the written word of the colour that would be displayed in the poster. 5’ Objects:  A red apple  A banana  A teddy bear  An orange ball  A blue cap  A green leaf  Pink flowers  A white paper plane Second activity: 10’

LESSON PLANS BRETÓN LUCILA ANDDIEGO FRANCISCO 4 Patterns of interaction: groups of 6/7 students We will ask students to form 2 groups and we will paste on the whiteboar d flashcards with the objects that we presented (eight objects). We will give the m the words divided in the middle. For example: R ED BL UE Students will be formed in lines (at the back of the room) and the one who is in the front will have to pick a paper, run to the whiteboard and paste it below the corresponding flashcard. Then, he/she will come back and hi 5 the next student who will have to complete the word. The group that finishes first is the winner. Third activity: 10’ (Performing actions with objects) The teacher will perform some actions corresponding with some of the objects that the students learned in the latter activity, and they will have to imitate the action performed by the teacher (all together from their seats). The actions will be the following: Hug the teddy bear Eat the apple Fly the plane Smell the flowers Wear the cup In the next step, the teacher will ask students to come to the front (one by one). They will have to pick up a piece of paper (without seeing) from a bag. The papers would be of the colors they learned, and they would have the word of the corresponding verb written on it. The student will read the word and they will have to perform the action interacting with the real object.
