lesson with representing many objects of different colors in front of the students
(colored pens, pieces of play dough, small colored papers…)
2. B. Teacher practice:
1. Teacher asks the students to look well and notice what she is doing. She starts a
pattern using one kind of the objects. Ex: red pen, blue pen, red pen, blue pen… and
before she continues teacher asks the students
“What am I doing?”
“Can you continue my work?”
Periodically teacher moves from one object to another, making such patterns and ask
the students to continue her work.
When the teacher finishes her activity she asks the students to explain what she did.
After that she asks them if they know what do we call this work, and tells them that it
called “PATTERN”.
C. Student practice:

After the introduction to the lesson teacher will divide the students into groups, each
group will have a set of shelves and many colored play dough in front of them, and in
each group of shelves there will be a specific pattern formed by colored play dough
balls where each group have to continue the pattern by making the play dough balls
and putting the right color in its place and in the right pattern.
D. Assessment:
Worksheets will be given to the students while they have to continue coloring the
patterns individually.
IV. Closure:

feeling toward it in a specific sign.
