was published on July 1989. The
company that owns the magazine is
called Bauer Media Group. They are
a film magazine who publish a new
magazine each month filled with lots
of things related to films, from new
releases that month to anniversary's
to films and much more.
Kerrang! is a music magazine that is
published every week. It has articles
about well known bands and artists
from alternative music as well as
smaller less popular bands so they
can have more publicity. The
magazine also features interviews,
posters and competitions to win
things like band merchandise or
meet and greets with bands, as well
as much more. The first issue of
Kerrang! was published on the 6th on
June 1981 as a one off in a
newspaper called ‘Sounds.’ it first
started off as a monthly magazine,
then fortnightly and then finally a
weekly magazine.
4. IPC Media
IPC was founded in 1958. They have over 60 iconic media brands and is a multiplatform brand. They are the
Uk’s leading consumer magazine publisher with print magazines that reach over 26 million UK adult readers.
Some magazines that they produce are Teen Now, Woman, Pick Me up!, Now, Marie Claire and Look.
5. EMAP
EMAP is a British media business that specializes in exhibition and festivals. It was founded in 1947 and produces
magazines such as Architects’ Journal, H&V News and Nursing Times. Some of their previous magazines include
Nintendo Official Magazine and Smash Hits.
6. BBC
As well as owning many TV channels and shows the BBC also own many magazines. These include RadioTimes which
is a channel listing magazine. They also own Focus, Top Gear and Good Food.
