2. GRANT FOR RESIDENTS WITH
DEMENTIA
London Borough of Hounslow introduced a
Grant for Residents with Dementia during
financial year 2017/18
The grant was introduced following a
Foundations Dementia Seminar on 21/2/17
which prompted me to send a Surveyor to
Dementia Friendly Homes training on 30/3/17.
GPS Device issued to residents with
Dementia – monitored by Linkline+ -
Community Alarm service.

4. Learning
• Following the training the team
attended various events for carers,
Dementia week and meetings with
Health colleagues.
• A leaflet advertising the grant was
produced and the grant was
formally launched to take self
referrals on 2/5/18 at a joint
Richmond/Hounslow health event.

5. Grant Levels
• Lucius Tybulewicz – Surveyor then
went on the Dementia and Housing
Learning event “Beyond the Front
Door”.
• The grant was capped at the Minor
works DFG grant level of £1k.
• This has increased to £2.5k after a
new DFG policy launched Nov. 18
